The only one I can think of is Roger Howarth coming back as the "real" Todd, but that's really unlikely!

I know it's absurdly unlikely, but I'm going to cling to the hope that this is Jonathan Jackson.

Actually, I think Lucky Spencer and Todd Manning are the only two ABC lead characters who are recasts (unless you count child actors). And I would be very surprised to see either Roger Howarth or Jonathan Jackson come back. I would much rather it be JJ, though. (Fun fact: he was my first crush when I was nine). And TSJ is doing a great job; I would hate to lose him.

There is something so wrong about that BI. Why would you get rid of a "POPULAR" actor. Sabine Singh is one thing but a popular actor is just ridiculous.

God, I would hate for Trevor St John to be replaced, because quite frankly Roger was phoning it in for awhile before he left.

Now, on the other hand, if they can bring back Jesse McCartney as JR, I would be happy. Yeah, I know, impossible, but a person can dream.

Well here's the thing, when Luke made reference to a "Real" campaign I assumed he meant (like the Greenlee fiasco) it would be an original actor is coming back to replace his replacement... But did Luke just mean an original actor is coming back as a character that's currently off-canvas?

I considered that, but Jacob Young was the first to play JR as an adult. Also, Jesse McCartney, who played JR as a young teen, would never come back. Even if he wanted to, he's now about ten years too young for the part.

Actually, Tyler Christopher was the original Nikolas. He last for a few years, and was recast with Stephen Martines, but I don't think anyone would consider SM "The Real Nikolas."

If this rumor is true, I definitely think JJ is the most likely option!!!!

Well, the Jerry Jacks thing could be an interesting twist in a "Real" Campaign. Not only could they bring back the original actor, but it could be revealed that he indeed is the REAL Jerry Jacks, and Sebastian Roche has been playing an imposter and he actually is James Craig, not Jerry. This would also explain why he doesn't seem to remember Bobbie

So we can have a Double Dose of "Real" and we get to undo the whole "Jerry is a murderer" nonsense.

Well, I've been hoping for the "real" Babe, Alexa Havins, but since you're saying it's a male then I'm going with Jonathan Jackson as Lucky. He's the most likely of all the people mentioned. Dare I hope? I've never really bought any of the other actors as Lucky, I still have a hard time buying that Luke's son who used to hustle Edward at poker would grow up to be a cop. Please let it be Jonathan Jackson!

I think I might be the only one hoping that this is NOT in regards to Lucky Spencer. I was not watching GH during the time that Jonathan Jackson held the role, or even Jacob Young for that matter. Greg Vaughan was already Lucky by the time that I started watching, and I like him very much in the role. I'd be really surprised if after all these years GH would decide to fire Greg to bring back the actor who has been gone for nearly ten years, for a role that has been recast twice. Not to mention, Greg's been in the role almost as long as Jonathan was.

I'm wondering if it might be the OLTL character of Michael McBain? Didn't his legal troubles get cleared up? Though I'm not really sure if the McBains are considered a core family or for that matter, if Michael is considered a lead. With that said, I think I'd be disappointed if this turned out to be the case. No disrepsect to Nathaniel, but I've really taken to Chris Stack in the role, more so than I had ever with Nathaniel.

Also, I wonder if they might have Thorsten Kaye pull double duty so that the REAL Patrick Thornhart can show up after the REAL Marty Saybrooke is revealed to be alive. Yeah, I know I'm pushing it with that one, but hey, anything is possible!

I wonder if it might be a character that is currently not on the canvas, like if Patrick Thornhart rejoined the living. I'm not sure who tough.

don't get me wrong i love JJ and have seen several of his knockout performances in film. but i would hate to see GV let go, because he has served his time and come into the role in my opinion. however, GH is not known for it's loyalty to its cast in my opinion, so who knows. i can say i don't think JJ will fit in as easily as one might think (like Sarah Brown). they would almost have to put lucky back with liz if they did this, because i just don't see JJ playing opposite KeMo realistically. i just think this would be mean to GV. besides JJ was smokin' hot on The Terminator this season! i want more of him there!

I had always thought that Jerry Jacks turning up being bad and not interacting with Bobbie at all was stupid as hell. Don't get me wrong, nothing against SB as Jerry but loved, loved, LOVED Julian Stone as Jerry! When he would get up in Carly's face was priceless! I've been holding out hope that this Jerry's really James Craig and he took over Jerry's life after they were both locked up somewhere and Jerry was left for dead.

I absolutely adored JJ's Lucky (HATED JY's Lucky), and I know a lot of people would love to see him come back, for good reason. But I really believe ABC would have another "REAL" debacle on their hands if they fired GV. He's established a solid following and as has been pointed out, he's been in the role for several years and in his own way made it his own.

I considered Nathaniel Marston, but since he's not a member of a "core" family and considering the nature of his "issues" I doubt it, though I'd love to see him back.

Hmmm.... Tony Geary did surprise JJ by showing up to his show at the Whisky just recently... but honestly I think he is focused on is music career. I love love love JJ, but all the other "Lucky's" have kind of ruined Lucky for me.

Unfortunately, they did not say which ABC soap opera. I love Greg Vaugn as Lucky. He has changed the character so much that I would hate to see him go. I liked Jonathan Jackson way back when but not now. He is the only original character that is missing other than Jerry Jacks which I doubt it's him. Could they also mean Robert Scorpio?
If it's OLTL, I liked the old Todd and the old Clint but the old Todd has a job on another soap so it's not him.
Who on AMC isn't the real actor, I forget. Don't hold your breathe with Jesse McCarthy that's for sure.

i don't think they'd recast jr on amc since it sounds like (from what i've read in spoiler columns) that theyre trying like mad to hang on to jacob young. in that case, could this be a scare tactic?

the only other ones i can think of that are recasts from core families are clint and sarah from one life to live. i don't know about the original clint, but if i'm not mistaken the original sarah was hayden panietterie which i just don't see that happening anytime soon, if ever.

Who says that Greg Vaughn has to be fired? Couldn't it be possible that he wants out to try something new? TPTB know this and Jonathon Jackson is available? I don't know and I wouldn't want GV fired. He hasn't been my Lucky but he has done an okay job. JJ has Emmys and a very good relationship with Tony Geary from what I hear. I think that it would be possible that he would have more of a standing with the producers than GV. Right now, Lucky is written and portrayed as a bumbling idiot. I would think that JJ would remember how the character used to be and make adjustments accordingly. Maybe I am just dreaming and hoping but what else do we have to look forward to?

Okay, Jonathan Jackson coming back as Lucky would be the best news ever!!!! Greg Vaughn is nice to look at and a good actor, but he's never captured the spirit of Lucky Spencer. Maybe Greg Vaughn doesn't have to leave either - maybe GH could pull a Days and the real Lucky has been held captive by Helena this whole time and the current Lucky was just an unknowing plant by the Cassadines! I mean he hasn't really behaved like Lucky since Helena took him and faked his death anyway. I gotta say, that's what I've been hoping for in all the years JJ has been gone. This way we could keep Greg and give him some juicy identity stuff and have the "real" Lucky back and the "real" campaign wouldn't be as offensive.

The way I hear it the next big "Real" campaign is OLTL's Marty. I haven't watched OLTL in at least a decade so I don't know if that would bring me back or not - more likely that Roger H would do the trick as the "real" todd. Tina is supposed to come back too.. Andrea Evans would absolutely bring me back to OLTL.
