Carolyn Hinsey's Leaving Soap Opera Weekly Confirmed

Nelson Branco confirmed yesterday's report by Jossip that Carolyn Hinsey is leaving Soap Opera Weekly in this week's Suds Report at TV Guide Canada and sheds a bit more light on the topic. According to Branco “It’s a mutual decision,” confirms a staffer, who adds budget cuts were also to blame. “Carolyn’s not upset. She has other irons in the fire,” explains an insider at Interlink Media.

Check out the Suds Report for more details on this story and other industry news.

That's not the kind of dream I would call it. LOL

My understanding — and you

My understanding — and you could be right — is that if that were the case they would have canned her years ago. Personally, I think they're fazing out Weekly into its own website and keep Digest on stands. I wrote that in my 07 power list.

Okay, this is completely

Okay, this is completely unrelated to the topic at hand but I just read Nelson's Suds Report and I must say I agree w/ his take on Ingo and Elizabeth Hendrickson. How fabulous is she on Y&R? I just can't stop talking about how much I'm lovin' her on this show.

Anyway, when someone's out there are always rumors of who's in. So what's up with that? I know there's no official announcement but who's rumored to be taking Carolyn's place?

Oh no. I really liked her. She was the best....except when it came to one of my favs.

WHAT love? Please! If that's

WHAT love? Please! If that's the case we'd see all soaps have people doing the sheet shimmy instead of mobular love and Logan TV!

hunterforrester, i would

hunterforrester, i would hate if they dropped SOW into a web-only option, as i read that one every week (i hate that SOD dedicates half its content every week to recaps!).

Well after reading this

Well after reading this weeks Soap oprea Digest, I was shocked a little that she bashed OLTL's 2 day 40th eposodes. Normally I love her My Opinion segmants, but she really trashed the 2 day eposode celebration, and it changed my opion on CH really quickly. Granted, it's her opinion, but since they couldn't get Jessica Tuck to guide Vicki threw "heaven" Erin Torpey was their plan B. OLTL took 3 of it's favorite storylines and did a great job. The whole 1968 storyline is a little too long, but it is interesting.

As far as sending in our own veiws to SOW, I think it's great!
