General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Sonny/Carly/Kate free day!!
Jason Morgan’s a hypocrite. There, I said it. Let all the Jason fans flog me with their rotten tomatoes!!! There he is, all weepy because he came thisclose to shooting a little girl and oh, it’s just like what happened with Micheal. Well, that’s all well and good, but what about all the children out there, who no longer have fathers (and mothers) because Jason and Sonny wanted to rule the Eastern seaboard and killed anyone who encroached on their space. I’m thinking of Lila Rae and how her father was killed in her own house, while she napped upstairs. So really, if the show wants me to feel bad for poor misunderstood Jason and his oh so sorry plight, than they failed miserably. (End of rant!!!)
I liked the Lulu/Lucky scene and the Nik/Lulu scene. It’s interesting how Lulu seeing Logan parallels Nik seeing Emily.
Line of the day:
Nik to Lulu: “You don’t have to make this a self fulfilling prophecy”
Interesting to have all the Qs visit Lulu and nice of them to explain that Tracy wasn’t there because she’s gone to find Luke.
Scotty on the other hand is coming across as a total asshat, getting in Lulu’s face.
Alexis/Anthony: Interesting that she tried to bluster her way through, but that he threw Sonny’s ineffectiveness back in her face. Although, I wish she would have turned around and said, “Hey Mac, have Mr Zachara arrested for threatening to kill the DA’s children”. I actually liked the fact that she went to Johnny with the pictures of her girls and tossed that onto his conscience.
Liz/Sam: Ok, so I sort of like that their semi-friends now. But I’m not sure how I feel about it!!
That Nik/Nadine kiss was a tad more violent than I would have liked. Although, I get where he was coming from.
Much as I love Anna, shouldn’t she be showing up once the baby is born to help, rather than now, when all Robin’s doing is working.

Nick and Nadine's kiss seemed a bit awkward. I kinda like the aggressiveness, but he seemed like he was trying to get her leg to wrap around his waist and she resisted, which made crinkle my nose a bit. Plus his groans and moans were a little too . . . something. It could have been a really great scene, but those two just didn't get it together. Need to study Jason's passionate responses to Liz.
As far as Lila-rae, remember her father kept her from her mother and with strangers. Not a very good father. Besides Lila was in another room, whereas Jason was freaked out about the possibility of accidentally hitting that little girl.
I was disappointed with Anna. I guess I expected her to go to Patrick and threaten to rip his gonads off if he doesn't keep them to himself, instead of running to Robin and flat out say that he may be cheating. She didn't even try to put it delicately. I guess they had to come up with some way of announcing the news about the baby.
Doesn't Alexis have money? Why can't she get her children out of there and into a safe place while she deals with the Zacharas? It's not like we see them anyway.
Shouldn't Scotty be careful of his toe-stepping? I mean, he did kill Rick and let Laura take the blame. If Lulu got into her right mind, she could really have something to bargain with. Luke isn't around, so they can deal and cover-up before he comes back, right?
I so agree that Jason is a hyprocrite. I have always thought that he is a glorified killer. He has killed lots of people. And yet we are to think of him as a hero.. He always got away with it too. I liked Jason when he is rescuing his damsels in distress. Thats a hero. But for him to commit murder time and time again and get away with it... There is no room for that in soap opera land. The bad guys are the murderers . The good guys are the ones who capture them and send them to jail. Or they die of their own doing.
That's the problem with GH when the "hero" or lead character is a murdering mob hitman. How are WE supposed to feel sorry for somebody who kills without remorse? The bigger problem is that the the GH execs think that he's the good guy. Uh...don't get me started again on that. It makes my skin crawl. waananewGH...I'm so there with you.
Just a question...has it actually been established that Scott killed Rick. I know that Lulu and Dillon got Alan's letter that said Scott killed Rick but how do we know that Alan was right? (I know...let's ask ghost Alan!!)
Maybe they forgot about that too. Pxlbarrel. It would not be the first time. The sad thing is I am kinda rooting for Scotty. I know. I know. It is bad of me. But anyhting to stop Lulu from screaming. I stopped caring about her when all the boys in Port charles were in love with her. They were really trying to shove her down our throats.
But I am glad it was a Clarly free day. Now would it be to much to ask that there would be a day with the Mob on GH.. Wait a minute that show is called Night shift...
sorry, lulu gets very little sympathy from me. aside from the dillon debacle, she jerked logan around for months. she is so fickle. scot has every right to be acting the way he is. i also find it amusing that lulu is way more bearable when she's away from johnny.
ugh. i kind of liked liz yesterday - someone hold me - i'm scared of myself! i am also torn about this frenemy situation. it's like ther're setting it up for cameron and jake to be raised by the quad for hell (as some have called them). i think i'll chalk the change up as a desperate campaign to re-enforce liz's likability for those of us who have had it with her. a superficial comment: can someone give liz a barrette to keep her bangs out of her face?
perkie - preach it about jason! how did he and sonny become the heroes of the show? make it end!!
I think this show needs a vigilante cop. Not quite like "Dexter" from the Showtime series, but someone who goes after criminals when the legal system doesn't get them.
That way Guza keeps his violent edge, and maybe someone like Det. Harper gets a real storyline. The mobbies start getting knocked off, and just as all of the factions are about to go to war, we find out it was a vigilante cop tired of seeing the mob families rule Port Charles.
It would be cool if Mac considered breaking the law in order to get the bad guys. He could be torn between right and wrong.
When is John J. York going to turn into a werewolf and attack the writers of this show who have given him crap for the past 10 years?
Nobody's a hero on this show and everyone on the show is a hypocrite. Nadine really went for that kiss. I'm not to sure of her, I guess I could go either way. I was hoping Benny would bitch slap Jason into shape. Wishfull dreaming. I wonder if GH is around in 20 years, (I want all soaps around in 20 years) if the citizens of PC will build a bronze statue of Jason and place it by the docks? Carly could worship him there and light candles, lol. I'm so mean.
pxlbarrel, Lulu confronted Scott about killing Rick. Lulu decided not to tell Luke because he would probably kill Scott.
Perkie, Dare I say it, I am a Jason luva, but ITA with you. You would think this would make him get out of the mob and put his "Superman" powers to better work, ie, FBI, Stone Cold Investigations, etc, etc., but as long as Guza is around it will never happen. Why can't Guza go away and we get someone that likes love in the afternoon again. I know it is wishful thinking, but one can only hope.
^^ITA. I'm a Jason lover but he is a big ol' hypocrite.
Loved the two Scrubs moments today. Still not sure about Nadine yet but will see. I like Jason but enough already don't have to clean his cape sometime jeez. I won't comment about a stupid twit nurse because I don't think I could control myself on the many blips I would have. I wish Mac would have been on to take care of AZ but then again he is not one of the chosen few to take him on.
damn, I used all my rotten tomatoes on my annoying neighbor, so I guess u're of the hook..lol
but seriously though, I love Jason, but I kinda agree with u on him being a hypocrite, ex. Killing Alcazar when he knew of the new daughter that he just had.
I so agree with you about Jason. Didn't manny's brother also have kids and Jason killed him? I don't feel anything for Jason. Especially since he willingly took Mykill away from AJ. I'm a Liason lover and that's the only reason I like Jason.
I had to FF the Nadine/Nik kiss. My stomach turned over and I almost lost it. They have no chemistry and they are just awkward. I know that's mostly to TC downplaying Nik and Nadine.
LOVED the Liz/Sam scenes. Lucky/Nik/Liz/Sam are the new Fab Four!
Hate Lulu and I feel nothing for her, I don't care how much she cares. I also HATE that the Q's are visiting her and stuff. Bring back Brooklyn for them to worry about. Not freakin annoying disrespectful Lulu.
ahanshew, Lulu confronted Scott but did he admit it to her?
Perkie, you are absolutely right: Jason IS a hypocrite... but then again, who is not?
We all find certain situations acceptable, until it hits us in a bad way. We all do not so nice things sometimes and then try to justify it. Its called being human.
Kate is a hypocrite, Patrick is a hypocrite, Sam is a hypocrite, Liz is a hypocrite... and the list goes on.
Um... and as far as LilaRae losing her parent... Sorry, I dont find your argument on that issue to be really compelling either... considering that her dad was an even worse human being than Jason!!!! As far as i am concerned, jason did that little girl a favor (just as he did Jake a favor by staying out of his life). Lila Rae's dad was a mobster and he got what was coming to him... whether it was jason who was gonna do the job or someone else, it was gonna happen eventually.
