Guiding Light: Mel's Guiding Gossip
Business in Springfield is about to pick up and in a big way. Health problems, a disappearance, and a returning character cause some serious problem for the small town. Get ready for all the juicy gossip, rumors, scoops, and spoilers for the week of August 18th.
Daisy/Grady/Rafe: After her little stunt in the courtroom, Daisy feels more disconnected from her family than ever. She just can't get things right. So in an effort to calm things down with her family, Daisy tries to apologize to Cassie for her actions at Tammy's trial. However, Cassie isn't having it and rips Daisy a new one. Daisy is eventually chased away from Cassie by Cyrus. She ends up in Marina's room sulking in her loneliness. Just as sadness is overcoming her, there is a knock at the door. Daisy answers the door and is shocked to find Rafe staring her in the face. She jumps into his arms and the two share a sweet reunion. What does Rafe being back in town mean for Grady and Daisy? Let's just say jealousy gets the best of Grady by the end of the week.
Bill/Lizzie: This week, Bill lets his true intentions toward Lizzie be known. First, he invites her to stay at the mansion with him. What will Lizzie's answer be? Then, in true snake in the grass fashion, Bill betrays Lizzie. What exactly does he do? It surely won't help an already woe some Lizzie who just found out Alan has a life threatening health problem.

Dinah/Alan: Dinah believes Bill deserves to be taught a lesson for his betrayal. She decides it's time to bring out the big guns. Dinah teams up with Alex and Alan to bring Bill down. Will Dinah get her revenge?
Speaking of Alan, he's in serious trouble. Lizzie brings him to the hospital for testing and Rick makes a shocking discovery. He diagnoses Alan with a blood clot on the brain. If the clot in Alan's brain ruptures, then it could kill him. When Lizzie informs Alan of his condition, he doesn't believe her. He thinks Lizzie and everyone else is trying to make him look crazy. He's on a spiritual level now. Alan storms off leaving Lizzie with a heavy heart. After leaving the hospital, Alan bumps into Rafe. They share a heartfelt reunion, and Alan makes a decision about his condition. He leaves town without telling a soul where he's headed. Will Alan survive?
Olivia: This week, Olivia's health begins to deteriorate. She starts having breathing problems and everything goes downhill from there. She immediately goes into denial about the extent of her health problems. Will Olivia make it? It all depends on Crystal Chappell's decision to resign with the show or not.
Reva/Josh/Jeffrey: Jeffrey and Reva have been anxious to get married lately, but that attitude suddenly changes this week. Jeffrey tells Reva he wants to postpone the wedding. What makes Jeffrey change his mind? It doesn't matter because the wedding is once again postponed. When the news gets to Josh, he is filled with hope. He knows that this is ideal time to make his move and win Reva back. With Josh's confidence at an all time high, he decides it's time to pay Jeffrey a visit. Josh tells Jeffrey that he is not going to back down from pursuing Reva. How will Jeffrey react? More importantly, how will Reva react? Let's just say it is officially an all out war between Josh and Jeffrey.

Josh is on a mission, and I pray to Dixie Cooney that he completes it.
