While I was in the Walmart line yesterday I was reading Soap Opera Digest. One of the scoops for Monday November 17 is Sam realizing her feelings for Jason. What is up with that???

Hey, they can write that Sam realizes her feelings for Jason but what they mean is that she realizes that she has no feelings for Jason. I hate those magazines because they are really misleading. I guess we will have to see what happens. Didn't people get all up in arms because they thought Sam and Jason were going to kiss last week and it never happened?

Regan, anything new on Jake and how that will turn out? I'm trying to play nice here but I will tell you after Friday's show I was so ticked. Sam telling Maxie good thing Liz came in when she did, who the heck is Sam to think Jason would want her sorry USED butt, weather she would want him or not. This is the reason I think everyone has issues with Sam, hello you just told Lucky you loved him REMEMBER "LUCKY" the man you are suppose to love , oh wait I guess that was last night, 24 hours is a long time.

Is it absolutely confirmed that Robert will be on the show to give Robin away? Will Anna be sticking around?

however i am confused. i caught sam's scenes on youtube and don't recall her saying that she wanted to be with jason, just that she realized how well they suited each other and how they worked well together. did i miss something? i don't think that was saying she doesn't want lucky or wanted a life with jason. it was more of a reflection on how things were or might have been - you know, kind of like liz has been doing for the last 2 years.

As far as Sam's "USED butt" and why people have "issues" with her - well I think last week's eps outline why I have "issues" with Liz who has yet again proven to be a selfish, petty, jealous, nasty, hypocritical creep and who is the complete antithesis to Laura.

That's nuts, there was only one way to take what she said, it sucked and it was insulting to Lucky not just Jason. Don't share your views of Liz but you are certainly entittled to them, weather she is working (most recent case in point Jerry) or just in her day to day life if thats what you call it Sam needs to maybe use her BRAIN instead of her body parts, but more to the point thinking everyone else wants them.

See now Ange challenged me - she didnt think I could write a post that didnt include something negative about "her gal" and then I come on and see "used butt".

So without any negativity - Sam is a beautiful, intelligent, and loving woman and either Jason or Lucky would be fortunate to have her heart.

lcpinnow: actually there isn't just one way to interpret it. For instance some have interpreted it to mean that it was a good thing Liz showed up because of how awkward the moment was between them. I'm choosing not to interpret it any way at all. Like I said, imo they wrote it ambiguously so I don't think there really is a way to tell what was meant.

As for Sam using her body instead of her brain...please, she was amazing when Jerry was holding her captive! Not only did she keep Jerry talking (trying to get him to reveal his plans) but she kept trying to escape (picking the lock on her handcuffs, sending out the SOS signal, grabbing Jason's gun and shooting at Jerry). Instead of curling up into a ball, crying, waiting for someone to come rescue her, Sam takes ACTION. Her critics like to say that all she does is use her body, but that doesn't reflect what we actually see on screen... She uses her intellect, strength and sexiness to get the job done

That could only come from a Sam fan. Let's see what her answer to Maxie is today.

Hi Regan, hope you had a good weekend. So glad they are giving Robin/Patrick a proper wedding, the other one was so stupid and since Kimberly has been on since she was 7yrs old, it should be something special and happy. I am hearing from soapnet that Robert & Anna will be at the wedding. I still wish Tiffany/Sean would go too but of course the writters are not smart enough to include them.Jason looks hotter in the black long sleeve shirt than his short sleeves. Stupid story with Jax buying Spoon Island, did we know it was for sale? I am so looking forward to Carly with the gun in her hand, saw the promo on youtube, she looks good in it.

I can say you just don't want to see whats going on because you don't like her. She is smart and she does take action and not wait for someone to save her and that was shown on screen.

sue, i think sam can be defended without belittling liz, but i think a lot times liz is built up by saying sam is bad (insert unkind adjective here). i posted in the forums yesterdy how i thought most of the interaction last week was lazy on the part of the writers and was taking steps backwards for all the characters - and i did it without saying anything nasty about liz (i think). i think i'll give liz credit for saving sam - period. but do liz fans give sam credit for helping jake at the hospital during that mechanic thing? generally not, they just say she owed him, yeah, but she still didn't have to help.

i think they are making liz more proactive, which they need to do if they are planning on putting her and jason together. but i've never forgotten who liz was when she came to town. she had an edge and was desperate to get a guy's attention (lucky's). she was independent and could stand her ground. what i haven't liked is that in this whole mess she was never honest with anyone (including herself if that makes you feel better, but i think she knew what she was doing from the get-go), she was manipulative when she could have been ballsy, she was weak when we know she could have been strong and she was selfish when she should have been thinking of others and lied when she should have told the truth.

also to digress about a year - those "sexy scenes" of jason teaching a cop's wife who lived with a gun in her house and had used one before, were just dumb. she really didn't need him to do that. maybe she was just angling for some action, killing-foreplay which is what everyone is harshing on sam for responding to physically (not necessarilly emotionally to) last week.

When did Liz ever use a gun? Refresh my memory.

My comment was simply an aside to those fans of Sams who are conctantly saying that Liz fans cannot defend Liz without belittling Sam.

I never really look at the scenes in the barn as sexy. I don't really look at running from a killer as romantic or sexy. I know Guza does as do some fans. I didn't really look at Sam and Jason in the penthouse as a particularly romantic situation either. That is just strange that life and death situations bring on the swerve for Sam. I don't believe that Jason would have acted on it. He has to have more self control than that or he would be in love scenes everyday. He is in life or death situations almost everyday.

I also don't think it was odd that Liz would need Jason to show her how to fire that gun. Yes, Lucky should have taught her gun safety but he isn't the brightest bulb in the pack so he probably hasn't. Plus, not every gun is alike. Jason was being proactive so he could be sure that she would know what the recoil felt like and wouldn't lose her footing when she fired.

On a personal note, my love for Liz doesn't have anything to do with my dilike for Sam. I have liked Liz since the beginning and grew to love her character through the early stages of her love for Lucky. I disliked Sam from day one when I saw how she was to be Brenda-lite. I hate when they try to force a character on us. I grew to despise her over time when I realized that she truly was going to be a Pam Anderson wannabe for the show. If I want to watch Baywatch reruns, I am sure I could find them somewhere.

Kelly Monaco has posed for Playboy? I wouldn't know. I don't "read" it. That is kind of funny. But, there isn't anything passive-aggressive about stating why I don't like Sam. It is what it is.
