Australia's 'Bold' New Timeslot A Hit

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that The Bold and the Beautiful's new timeslot in Australia is a hit. Based on first day ratings, the primetime slot has picked up viewers. It was the most watched B&B episode of the year, with an audience of 594,000 (up 26% on the 2008 average). Is the ratings spike a result of the heavily-hyped move, or does it mark an upswing in the fortunes of B&B? In these dark days for daytime dramas, it's something we'll be keeping a eye on at Daytime Confidential.

I think this smart maybe if soaps aired later in the day ratings would improve.
