On today's ABC Daytime Confidential episode Luke, Jamey, Tina and Regan take some time to look back on One Life to Live's Buchanan family and specifically the impact of Phil Carey's Asa Buchanan and Clint Ritchie's Clint Buchanan. They share their their favorite Buchanan family memories and discuss the impact of both actor's death would have had if both were still on the show.
Regan shares some of the latest General Hospital spoilers and the conversation gets side sidetracked by a discussion about JoMax vs. Spixie.

I love Spixie as friends, but I would definitely want to see JoMax as a couple..I did not think I would like JoMax, but damn Johnny is so likeable with Maxie.

I haven't heard the podcast, yet. But I was watching Friday Night Lights last week and there was a scene between Landry and Tyra fighting outside a restaurant that reminded of Spinelli and Maxie. I think they should start dating and then break up. Maxie could start dating Johnny and let the story go from there. It's a soap. Messy works best.

Oh Season, Landry and Tyra are two of my faves and yes there are some similarities between them and Spixie but they're not Tyra and Landry.... ahhhh FNL.

I'm not that familiar with Tyra and Landry yet. I've been watching this season but I still have yet to watch the other season's episodes but it struck me for just a moment when they argued that they could do something like that similar with Spinelli and Maxie.

Damn Kirsten Storms, lol! She has crazy good chemistry with every single person she's in scenes with. I truely see Spixie as best friends, but I just don't see a romance with them, not after I've gotten a taste of JoMax.
I honestly haven't been watching GH everyday for months now, not until JoMax started showing up in scenes together, they've brought me back to GH. Now I'm just begging GH not to screw it up!

Yeah you should definitely check out Seasons one and two...you'll see their relationship develop and the ups and downs of it. There was some powerful stuff for them in season two. Like I said they are similar to Spixie but a lot more.

I glad that OLTL is remembering Phil Carey and Clint Ritchie's characters memories by letting the viewers know of Asa and Clint Buchanan as grunt cowboys who were smart, bull-headed, but a heart of gold and care about family, even though Asa was a manipulated man, but love his relationship with Matthew and Bo and Clint and Viki.
I think the show is great for remembering its vet, unlike another ABC soap, like GH, that throw their vets out like trash and don't remember who they were. I am also loving JoMax on GH and thats the only thing to watch on that show.

WATCH FNL Season 1/2! NOW ! its AWESOME.
Anyways on the subject of who Maxie should be with....I am going to get killed but whatever I want Matt and Maxie! I Love them, they don't get enough scenes together which really bums me out. I am not a 'Shelle 1.0' fan or anything but i just really like them together.
IF Ethan is staying on the show, can we recast, PLEASE, sorry whatever 'model' he is its gotta go. IF he is a 'aussie' then go beg Dean Geyer (http://www.deangeyer.com.au/) or maybe Paul O'Brien (http://www.surfinthebay.net/cast_list/_paul.jpg) But seriously if either of them come on GH I may have to track them down and ask them "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" because they both just left awesome roles on two Aussie soaps, and both are trying for roles in LA.
Anyways good episode, i liked hearing the memories of old character/actors, and considering i have no past with them it was interesting.
But here is a question, and everytime Luke says it i want to strangle him lol, how long are you considered a 'new viewer' Luke said he has only been watching since '98 and i am sitting there saying 'oh you poor baby' cuz I started with Asa's death in 07 lol, and while i may not have 'history' with the show i really don't consider myself a new viewer, I just say i am racking up "Vet viewer" years now lol.

But to the matter at hand... I am loving JoMax however, the little M&M stuff we got wasn't all that bad. I think I just love Maxie too much as Kirsten Storms is great with anyone.

Favorite Asa moments: When we found out his first wife Olympia was alive and he was trying to marry Sam. Anything to do with storylines involving Bo and Clint. All of his weddings.
Favorite Clint moments: When Joe Riley brought Clint to the Banner and he met Vicki. Any scene of his scenes with Vicki before they had Vicki cheat on him with that Carpenter man.

Wait me a FNL Fan boy?? Never...I mean I can stop at any.....*Looks at Direct T.v. / NBC execs* I MEAN I CANT COME ON PICK IT UP UGh you don't want me to go crazy, I promise I will, if you people kill one more of my favorite shows I WILL GO CRAZY! A guy can only take so much, Everwood, Veronica Mars, so yea that was mainly Dawn O but let's forget that fact, Reunion and others arg just pick it up..... *starts rocking back and forth with FNL playing via Itunes :) *
I just want to see the pairing 'explored' that is not me saying "DO IT 5 DAYS A WEEK! " or until i want to claw my eyes out, but maybe explore things outside of the mob, i mean Matt is a Drake so come on let's test the waters and if it doesn't work bring on the mobsters.
