Last Week's B&B: "I Now Pronounce You Man And... HORSE!"

The Tridge tots, AKA Thomas and Steffy, continued trying to keep Brooke away from their Ridge. They had all Brooke’s messages to Ridge forwarded to Steffy’s phone. When Stephanie found out she was thrilled that her grandkids were such schemers and told them to keep it secret.

Stephanie was officially welcomed to Jackie M with her own office. The whole Jackie M gang showed up for the shindig. Stephanie said she was no longer “Stephanie Forrester, I’m Stephanie. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” Jackie and Stephanie had a moment and they both put the past aside, determined to enjoy their partnership.

You might have thrown me over a balcony
in the past, but welcome aboard Stephanie.

Owen showed some signs of jealousy as Jackie and Whip got closer at work. When Owen was out, Whip showed up with High Tea from Jackie’s favorite restaurant. He told her what she deserved – i.e. someone that had could appreciate her tastes and indulge them. Jackie and Owen or Jackie and Whip is fine with me, so I’m gonna sit back and enjoy this love triangle, if that’s where B&B is headed.

Donna dished that the wedding was the very next day. Katie encouraged Brooke to go after Ridge.

Seriously, I told the guys at the salon a LIGHT tan. Brooke, I'm orange.

Pam flirted with Clarke and picked up on his admiration for Sally Spectra. She showed up the next day wearing a red wig. It didn’t have the desired effect of Clarke.

Eric and Ridge expressed their surprise that Brooke wasn’t chasing him; then Ridge confessed that “he loved two women”. He had a few flashbacks to his time with both women. The big mystery is why do these two women keep throwing themselves at his feet?

Doc, I know you wanna nibble these off me, but I love Brooke too.

To keep Brooke away from her parents’ wedding, Steffy (impersonating Ridge via text) told Brooke to wait in their “sacred place” on Malibu beach. Brooke dutifully obliged. After a while, she realised something was up and figured Taylor and Ridge may be getting married after all. She dialled Ridge’s number, but it went through to Steffy’s voicemail. Furious that she’d been duped by Steffy, Brooke set off on horseback to interrupt the wedding and claim back Ridge.

Bill and Katie had a brief interaction, and boy do I love those two. After endless tedious and drippy storylines, Heather Tom is giving off some serious sparks opposite her old Y&R chum. I want more, they’re really good together.

Give me a freakin' break! That ho and Mr Ed didn't just crash my wedding, did they?

As Brooke raced to stop the Tridge wedding, she fell off her horse. Dishevelled, but determined, Brooke got back in the saddle. Ridge and Taylor were finishing their vows when Brooke rocked up. The priest said, “I now pronounce you man and... HORSE!” as he saw Trigger (and Brooke) burst through the door. Brooke wasn’t about to let Taylor waltz off with the prize pig Ridge, so she said: “Hold it right there, Padre – there isn’t going to be a wedding today!”

Trigger was captivated by Ridge too.

Will they, won’t they? Tune in next week to find out. I'm away next week, but more B&B recaps soon (if I can stomach anymore Ridge-worship).

is there any hope that B&B would get rid of: brooke, taylor, ridge and donna? it would be a good show then.

Kiyote don't say that about my Brooke! She just needs some good writing.

Ridge can go to hell though

Ugh! Why does Brooke degrade herself on a man who is so pathetic that he leaves his wife and 3 small children because of the death of another child? Then said man immediately marries another woman!

What does that say about Ridge? He's a wussy, narcissistic jerk.

Brooke should spend a few months on her own, devoted to herself, her children, and her work. Then find a man who won't drop her like a hot potato whenever times get tough.

Brooke, get off the Ridge Merry-go-round.

All kidding aside, I don't want Hunter Tylo, Ronn Moss, or Katherine Kelly Lang to lose a job, especially Tylo, who probably needs a job most and has had a galaxy-sized amount of personal pain (one child stricken with blindness, another killed by epilepsy, etc.).

Frankly, I wish B&B had left Tylo's Taylor with Nick Marone. That was a good pairing.

Darren,

I lost a lot of respect for Brooke when she went after Taylor to get baby Jack on top of her seducing Thorne. (The whole Baby Jack saga was highly offensive in its disrespect for adoptive parents.)

B&B needs to get their shit together or they will be next on the chopping block. I mean, I'm all for campy hijinks, but this merry-go-round of bedhopping is enough to make me vomit at the sight of Hunter Tylo's bad plastic surgery. What this show needs is a compelling story to balance out the craziness. How about making Rick realize he's bisexual? Him trying to get in bed with either Bill or Owen would sizzle. And at least it wouldn't be incestous.

You guys know that Brooke, Ridge and Taylor are not going anywhere. Get used to the merry-go-round it will continue to turn and turn. Brooke would not have done any of the things she did if that witch Stephanie would have just accepted her from the beginning. All Brooke ever wanted was Ridge. It bordered on obsessive. But Brooke will always be my girl and what Brooke wants, I want!

This woman slept with not one but two of her daughter's husbands. She looks like a class act in that picture compared to her past actions.

I have to say, at least B&B did a different take on the "Friday Stop-the-Wedding cliffhanger. But in my opinon, if the show is going to start making fun of the trio, then it's losing it's air. Owen Jackie are funny, but they are new. These three are just taking it to another direction. GL took all the air out of the Spauldings by making them seem like a bunch of old jokes. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this episode. Felt so bad for Brooke when she was thrown off the horse.

Oh! and did anyone catch the priest as he kept looking at the door waiting for the horse. He gave it all away! Dishonorable Mention:The Priest and Taylor's wedding gown lol!

Oh I agree DF001..Taylor's wedding dress was simply horrid. I think I had a similar dress when I was 10.

Jackie/Owen and Bill/Katie are the only reasons to watch this show right now.

DF0001 you're right about that dress LOL.

Joss, I remember the baby Jack fiasco and Brooke straddling engaged Nick straight off the plane from Sydney... ay ay ay....

Season, Brooke was just following her heart in those instances

All the scheming to make the wedding possible means didley. We all know that marriage vows is not something Ridge is very committed to. Again, kill off Ridge and go for Brolor!

And what is with Ridge and the very gay swimsuit? That could also work: gay Ridge with maybe Owen?

akbad806, I with you that they should make Rick bisexual and hook up with Whip. Kyle and Rick would have great chemistry and make the whole family crazy with their affair. Big smile

It's obvious Bell brought on Whip without a clear plan for his character. I would be all for a Whip/Rick hookup. Maybe I could actually tolerate Rick for a change.

They've already had Brooke and her daughter share a man. Why not Brooke and her son?

Yeah, it would be scandalous and B&B needs some buzz. Bridget and Brooke already share men and why not Brooke and Rick? It would be crazy and hot and I am on team Whip/Rick.
