This what I said about this on FB: It's about time. Aiden should have been written out YEARS ago. The only popular pairing that he had was with Sabine Singh's Greenlee and we all know how that turned out. I would love for him to turn up in Port Charles and save my Liz from Nikolas' slobbering ass...

Its unfortunate, they never used him properly. He went from Kendall (Pre-Zendall), Erin, Julia, Anita, Di, Greenlee, and Annie. I think we are going to see more people let go as the move to L.A. is near. I think he has looks and talent. I hope it doesn't take him long to find work. Now that you guys have mentioned it, I think he would be great on GH. He can meet Robin and that maybe they can bring back Anna. I think he would be great with Spin and Sam as detectives.

Of his numerous pairings, the only one that worked was Kendall (the first time but it was probably because Kendall has chemistry with everyone). I've always wanted him on GH because he has family there.

I love Aiden im very sadden by the news of him leaving AMC but kinda of happy as well. The reason is that i really want him on GH i think its time for him to meet his family as in Robin Scorpio. I would love to see him work with Spin and Sam that would be great his character Aidan has so much potential they just need to write him a damn good story .

I'm more surprised he's been there as long as he has since they've never really written for the character.

Regardless of his acting talent, he was on the show for 7 years. He deserved better than this! I happen to think that he was a decent actor, and the MATERIAL makes the difference here. Chuck Pratt cannot write a plot! Lucy Merriam(Emma Lavery) can probably make better plots. Throughout the whole Bomb Shelter storyline and shortly after, I liked Aiden...he and Greenlee(SABINE SINGH) were happy and a rootable couple. Kendall and Zach were on their way to reconciling, etc...ENTER REBECCA BUDIG, and Fronzy gets this GREAT idea that Ryan and Greenlee are soulmates. So on the sly, he hires REBECCA BUDIG again(who can't find work in Hwood, so she says why not?)FIRES Sabine Singh, then Aiden is now in question again.

Rebecca Budig came back as Greenlee, and all of a sudden, Aiden disappeared because Frons and that damn COW Julie Carruthers(FIRE HER ASS! GOD IN HEAVEN!) wanted Cameron Mathison and Rebecca Budig to be a couple as RYAN AND GREENLEE. So much so, that they destroyed nearly EVERY couple on All My Children to do it.

Rebecca came back, all the couples were destroyed so that Frons could have his Becky and Cam back. Rebecca Budig got homesick, took the dough, and left. Meanwhile the show was in shambles, and Aiden was STILL M.I.A. The character never recovered.

I understand the actor was hired because he was beefcake. But then again, so was Cameron Mathison, who doesn't really ACT, but grunts and teeth talks through every scene. But you mean to tell me that after 7 years on the show, they just fire him just like that? When you have these empty bottles Briane Moncrief and Denise Vasi on the show who could not act scared if wolves were chasing them?

it hardly seems fair if you ask me. But then again, I am not surprised considering that Frons wants soaps to die, and the way they treated Julia Barr(Brooke English).

I hope All My Children is canceled soon, and that the actors can be free to do other projects.

Finally, they did something right at AMC. Now if they could just ditch Pratthole and Randi...

He's never had chemistry with any co-star. The only plots that were any interest were when he and his aunt Anna worked together on a few things back in the day.

He had chemistry with Kendall, Di and Greenlee but every time it was workign they screwed him in favor of dumbass Ryan. Bring him to GH. hell maybe he could even make me like Lizard LOL.

They have never written well for Aiden. Since the non-brillant idea of pairing him with Maria and having Edmund go psycho on his ass. I can see him on GH, getting to know Robin, Emma and Patrick. I honestly can't see any of the women on that show paired with him. Maybe Liz, she needs new blood, not men she was once related to by marriage. Maybe once Carly leaves Jax after she finds out he knew about Michaels's shooting and protecting Jerry, she could have a fling with Aiden. Of course he would have to chase after Lulu first, since all the new guys go after Lulu first. Or maybe Rebecca will turn out to be Emily, drop kick loser Nik and try her hand at Aiden. I don't think it's gonna happen though. If he's gonna go to LA to work on GH then he could of gone to work on AMC. I don't see it. I'm sure were gonna get alot more firings from AMC.

Another wasted opportunity. To paraphrase Joni Mitchell, the pinheads in charge at AMC don't know what they've got 'til they're gone! Sometimes I think if someone took the best of AMC's castoffs, they could make one hell of great show!

Mr. Turner is a talented actor....

Bring him to GH, we need Robin to have more family, and he could definitely add some additional hotness. I am all for Liz or Carly getting a piece of him

He was one of my favorite characters--so much squandered potential. He and Kendall (in '03, during the Michael stuff) were my favorite couple on the show and I rooted hard for him through his whole run. LOVED him with (both) Greenlee(. UGH! (Sorta surprised, actually . . . Pratt broke up Aidan/Greenlee and then dropped Aidan/Annie, but he actually wrote nice scenes for the character that displayed he cared about the overall integrity of the Brit. super spy.)

I just saw the spoilers for Aiden and that he gets involved in the Zendall stupidity- I mean storyline. And that Aiden and Kendall go on the run and Natalia shoots him instead of Kendall. I hope that's not the case because I would love to see spin-off to GH since he has family.

This SUCKS! He is the ONLY reason i watch the show so i guess i will stop watching when he is gone. I am sure the show will be canceled within a year since Thorsten & Alicia are reportedly not making the move to L.A.
I hope he finds something BETTER then AMC because that show sucks and in a way they did him a favor because he can do better then that show!

Rebecca, I am with you, though he was willing to move to L.A. in a way this is a blessing in disguise, but I also think that he is not going to be the only one being let go. I hope GH snaps him up.

Why couldn't this have happened when I was watching AMC? He is a British speaking robot. It was always a game trying to understand what that man was saying.

Its messed up whenever anyone loses a job but honestly this is many years too late. He has been an aimless character for years.

I'm still sad about this. I really liked Aidan, I know lots of people didn't but I honestly think that the writers just never knew what to do with him. I liked many of his pairings but they all kind of fizzled out in the end.
I *hate* that he is being throwen back into a stupid triangle with Zendall again, if he's going to leave, at least give him an ending better than this.
I wish Aidan Turner the best of luck as well.

Personally, I'm glad to see him go. He never had any real chemistry with anyone. Always sloppy seconds and when he did get a decent relationship, the writers always made him wind up looking like a fool.
