I'm a fan of Y&R, but I've never bothered with B&B until I heard my girl, Sarah Joy Brown was on her way to town. I can't wait to see what she can do for writers who actually write for female characters instead of female caricatures (Guza, I'm looking your way).

I hope they use Rick Hearst more now that Sarah Brown is joining the show!

they had fantastic chemistry over on GH and they're both multi-Emmy winners!!!

At least she doesn't have to put children in a coma just yet. That's something. I'm kind of excited to see her on B&B. Just hope they don't overdo the psycho part in her role.

I'm not looking forward to Nick cheating on Bridget AGAIN!!! I will puke my left kidney if Nick divorces Bridget for the third time.

Also, what is with Nick and the need for surrogates or egg donors to ruin the lives of Nick's wives? First Taylor and now Bridget??

I wonder if Sarah Brown will go back to being a blond?

So, the Forresters lose their company and house? Yowza!

BTW, what good is a couture fashion house without its lead designers? Didn't we go through a similar set up when Nick forced the Forresters to sell the company him?

Hey, the Y&R folks love corporate intrigue. Here it is. Lap it up while you can because Y&R isn't delivering any of it.

Yeah, I agree with others. I love Sarah Brown, but Nick being in yet another storyline where he cheats on Bridget is just bad. Plus, I have a feeling this character that Sarah is going to play will be like Carly (what are we up to now? 3.0?) because it sounds a lot like when she went after Tony on GH when she was pregnant.

Why don't they just pair Rick Hearst with her - he DOESN'T HAVE ANYBODY!! We know they have chemistry from GH and he is being sorely underused. I just don't get it. I see this being a waste of two talents.

I'm mainly watching because of Bill and Katie.

It will be interesting to see if Sarah Brown can bring some of her fanbase to BB. I have my doubts..

Re: josstheguy's two posts:

Truthfully, with Bridget involved, a surrogate makes sense. Bridget has already lost two children (Nicole and the one she was carrying by Dante) at a young age. So unlike Taylor, where the egg donor situation was a device to have her carry a child conceived from Brooke's egg, it makes sense for them to address this rather than go the route Y&R did with Phyllis and Ashley and have Bridget miraculously get pregnant and carry to term for plot purposes. B&B's press release sounds like this is a big part of the story, so if they live up to their hype, I don't mind it.

I'm also hoping from the description in B&B's press release, and from the mention in both B&B's and AP's releases that Sandy is a 'likable' person who mixes it up with Bridget, Nick AND Whip, that this is more than the standard "Sandy breaks Nick and Bridget up/Sandy gets Nick/Bridget turns to Whip" tale, especially since Hearst needs something to do being out of the Jackie/Owen loop for now.

The pic on B&B's official site has Sarah with dark hair like she has on GH, so I don't know about the blonde hair unless that's just to add a pic to the promo.

Lastly, the difference between Bill's takeover and Nick's is that Bill isn't trying to cut the Forresters out. He wants the Forresters to stay on, working from him, so it won't be a "Forrester without Forresters" setup like Nick had. I think he's banking on Katie getting her sisters' help to keep their hubbies on board, but only time will tell if it works. If it doesn't, or if it does initially and then takes later over dissent, Bill might very much find himself in the same shoes Nick was in.

ETA: Re: SJB's hair: Unless they use a wig for the beginning, Sarah will have to keep the same dark locks she has now, since she'll be taping both GH and B&B for the first week or so. She was taping B&B yesterday while today she is over at GH.

Snizzle, you should be happy given that Bill and Katie are going to be on the forefront. I'm not convinced that Bill isn't using Katie at least a little, but the dynamic this brings to the show is keeping things hopping for sure. I just hope it doesn't turn into a one-sided fight where Bill and Katie lord it over the Forresters the way Y&R did with Victor, along with Brad, sticking it to the Abbotts when Newman owned Jabot.

I have watched B & B for years and like the half hour format - they tend to wrap up story lines quickly. Usually I enjoy seeing new characters introduced but definitely not looking forward to seeing Brown. I will have to see what kind of acting chops she has to get me to forget the horrid Claudia character.

Sarah Brown is great! I remember her from ATWT. She plays a good villan and when she wants a man, well Bridget you better look out because she usually gets what she wants.

I'm glad she has the B&B gig. Talent like hers should not go to waste.

Keep Bridget and Nick together. Bridget has been with other men but she doesn't stay with them for long because of her feelings for Nick. I don't want her rebounding with another man, and they waste that man, when she always wants Nick. Been there done that.

B&B is known for their loopy characters. They can keep crazy Pam, Rick and Thomas and show some other sides to them, they can do the same with SB's Sandy character.

Please, Bradley Bell and Bold writers pair Sarah Brown and Rick Hearst together as a couple. General Hospital cheated their strong, sexy chemistry.
