General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Well, as a follow up from yesterday, there were certainly some very good soapy moments, but there were also a couple of bad moments and some wacky plot points.
I loved the look of shock and almost betrayal on Carly’s face when Sonny was making the announcement that the shooting was Claudia’s (and Jerry’s) fault. Laura Wright can be very expressive with her just her face.
Loved that Johnny came to Claudia’s defense and took the blame, even though Sonny didn’t believe him.
Loved that Claudia fought hard to defend herself, despite knowing she was in trouble.
Claudia to Sonny: “You let your kids run wild. It was your fault your son was in that warehouse that night.”
Loved Dante calming Michael down and Dante’s overall calmness.
Loved Kristina seeing the light when it comes to her father and Sonny overhearing her call him a monster.
Loved Robin admitting that Sonny is not a good man, despite her being friends with him.
Robin to Patrick: “I’m sick of the violence in this town and Sonny’s always in the middle of it.”
I didn’t like MB’s moments of over-acting. For the most part, he was doing a decent job, but there were a couple of moments, when he was calling Claudia out, when he was going a little overboard. He’s better when he reins it in a little.
Didn’t like that no one took out Claudia before she had a chance to get to Carly. When she first pulled out the gun, Jason was just as quick on the draw, and had a clear shot, yet he didn’t take it and he let her walk across the room and grab Carly, who just stood there and let herself be taken.
Crazy plot point of the day: Everyone’s been told to stay in the restaurant until the police are finished questioning them, but Sam and Michael come into the lobby, just as Jax makes an ass of himself.
Jax: “I’m not going to let my wife and child die just because Michael got shot.”
Carly had a scarf around her neck. I kept wondering why she didn’t try to strangle Claudia with it when Claudia got in the car. Claudia got in, put the gun down on the seat and there was a moment where Carly would have had the upper hand.
And as far as Friday cliffhangers go, it was only a meh in my books, mostly because we all know neither Claudia nor Carly will die in that accident.

Looks like a must watch can't wait till I have the time to sit down and watch it. Had to run errands today and missed it live!

ITA - Can't believe Max, Milo or even Dante could not have overpowered Claw before she got to Carly. Also why didn't Carly run out of harm's way? Carly kidnapped while pregnant and going into labour. Now that's original NOT!!! Don't like Olivia but her saying she has always had the best of Sonny while Dante looks on was a very soapy moment from the audience point of view knowing what we know. Robin - Get over it. You have always known what Sonny does, have at times been involved with his associates (Jason and Stone), and remained friends so don't pretend to be so shocked now. Jax is still a self righteous a$$. And the PCPD are shown to be inept as usual. And where the H was Lucky?

I liked today's eppy but also thought WTH is Lucky, even though I'm sure it won't be a big deal I'm giddy like I was on Tuesday for JJ and SB to have a scene together!!

Yeah Maurice did over act a bit..It was a decent episode
I thought Sarah Brown was awesome when she was in the car and explaining things to Carly
I also loved that line too Perkie that Claudia said to Sonny about his kids
Who is this new cop? I like him especially when Sonny was trying to be all big and bad and the guy was just staring down at him like "please little mobster man"
I hope they use him more, but I know we will probably never see him again

Today was MB take on Al Pacino from Scent of a Woman. Overacting city but it was actually the good overacting.
The worst of this episode is Booblivia sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. First she tries to interupt Sonny in the middle of his rage against Carly. Then she actually tells Dante to make himself known as a cop right then and there. The most stupid thing ever. All of Sonny's men are around with guns and this twit wants him to come out as a cop. Then at the end she tells Sonny she knows he's a good man and touches his face. This is the same troll who begged Kate to leave Sonny because he was so dangerous and no good for her. I HATE BOOBLIVIA!
Loved Detective Williams. He's so tall. I was upset he walked in with his shirt on. I was hoping it got wet in the rain. I was so happy Kristina finally saw her father for what he is and he overheard her call him a monster. I loved everyone disappointed in Sonny for what he did and calling him out on it. Loved Luke and Tracy today even when the Mayor for some odd reason came and started flirting with Tracy. It finally came out how Jax really feel about Carly's kids. But Jax should know if Carly can have a baby while being shot in the head by Sonny, then it should be a breeze for her having Jax child. Hated that the guy who just got a rent a car doesn't even know what kind of rental car he got! Loved Johnny trying to take the blame. Did I mention I HATE BOOBLIVIA!!!!

Am I the only one who HATES the use of the word "wh**re" on television? I can stomach the other derogatory terms (e.g., b**ch, skank, ho-bag, etc.) but that one just makes my blood boil for some reason - regardless of who is on the receiving end.
If we had been given Claudia the BADASS instead of Claudia the WHINY/NEEDY ASS from the outset, then I would be really sad to see her go. The scene where Sonny is (ridiculously) claiming that it was a blessing that Claudia lost the baby was one of the few times SJB brought on the waterworks that DIDN'T make me roll my eyes, since it was underplayed and therefore VERY powerful.

I question whether Sonny really needed to confront Claudia in front of all those people. I think the confrontation about Michael's shooting called for a more intimate moment where it would just be the two them. It would have been more tense like Sonny could snap her neck at any moment.
Also, I didn't think Maurice was overacting. I mean what is the appropriate amount of anger and rage to show the person responsible for putting a bullet in your child's head?

Where the hell was Lucky? Wouldn't it had make perfect sense for him to arrive with Mac and being in on all this? It's kind of a family thing for the Spencers that happened there so I was being excited to see Lucky there ... but nothing.
I didn't get how Claudia could get to Carly. It just made no sense. Jason just could have killed her already or so many other scenarios than this would have been more likely.
Claudia gets what she deserves, but Sarah Brown is playing it so brilliant that I almost feel sorry for Claudia. Specially when she tried to reason first with Sonny and later with Carly in the car.
LOVED Robin saying to Patrick that she is sick of the violence in Port Charles. Guess what Guza, so are we!!!!
I just hate Jax these days. Sorry, I normally used to like him, but he's being an ass these days and I just can't find excuses anymore for him.
LOVED Tracy drinking and being all cool. Also loved Kristina calling Sonny a monster.
I didn't like the way they used Michael these days. First he didn't get to Jason's, then he didn't get to Sonny's and today he kind of was lost in this entire thing. When Claudia tried to make Sonny believe it's a lie, I just wish that Michael would have come in and told her that he would remember everything.

"Jason had a clear shot, yet he didn't take it." Here's a few things to consider: There were a lot of people in the room, all very close together, making it very easy to hit someone else; Jason is not law enforcement, so he had no right to shoot Claudia; Michael and Kristina were there watching; Claudia had the gun against Carly's side so a reflex action could have caused her gun to go off.
This show is getting really bloodthirsty and I, for one, do not want to encourage Guza et al to make it worse. My opinion.

JJ couldn't have come back at a better time! GH is SO DONE if something doesn't turn around FAST. 5th place AGAIN? The mob is dead. PAST time for GH to return to GH. Shoot Sonny, Jason and the mob whores in the head, turn the town over to Lucky, and I will be so happy. I so hope that this is a real sign of a direction change for GH. If they don't, the show is gone. Frons has to have seen the writing on the wall by now. 1.8's/1.9's, week after week after week. I watched the first scene on YT today and turned it off. Sonny was ridiculous. Jason's revenge for the woman who 'accidentally' hurt Michael while screwing the chick that intentionally targeted his TWICE? And nobody is supposed to scratch their heads and say WTF? And they wonder why nobody is watching? Hurry JJ, come back, kick Nik to the curb, fight for Liz. A real GH again is needed before this sinking ship is gone forever.

Still watching the episode. Did Robin REALLY just say, "There's no way we could predict what Sonny would do or that Claudia would fly off the handle like that." WTH!?!
Oh Robin, I love you to pieces, but have you been drinking from Schmucky's bottle of Dum Dum juice? How many years have you known Sonny? The man would kill over TERRITORY for goodness' sake. I'll cut you a LITTLE more slack with Claudia "Crazy Eyes" Zacharra, but still...

Elwood...really? Are we having this discussion again!?! I'm not even touching the Sam stuff because I'd be wasting my breath, but have you been watching GH?
Yes, ordering the hit that put Michael in a coma WAS an accident, but sending Jerry to kill him and Krissy in Mexico was INTENTIONAL. She INTENTIONALLY got pregnant with Sonny's child because she knew he would never kill her if she was the mother of his child. She INTENTIONALLY tried to kill Ric.
We get it, you hate Sam. You hate Jason for being with Sam. You hate GH for have a storyline involving Jason with Sam. But why you would go to all the trouble to visit AND post in a thread about something you so clearly despise is beyond me.
[I warned you all that the word "w**re" makes my blood boil.]

samrocks, remember her first month on the show during the writer's strike, she came on all powerful. She went to the mob meeting and actually threaten a guy with the heel or her shoe up to his throat!
she wouldn't take any gruff from Trevor but then the writers came back and she started being this whiny girl. All of a sudden as storyline about her having sex with Trevor came about but never really panned out. She started acting like a fool for Sonny getting jealous and harassing Kate at her job. Once Guza and co got back, she became this needy stupid Claudia we see today.

ITA with BigDede about Olivia. Deep and abiding hate for this ever-present hypocritical fixture. Please send her back to Brooklyn ASAP. When it finally comes out that Dominick is Dante and is Sonny's son, I really hope she doesn't get a pass from Dante or Sonny for hiding the truth from them.
I thought Dante/Dominick was great today and overall thought the show was pretty good.

Todays episode kinda pissed me off. I mean nobody gave a shit that Claudia was responsible for Michael getting shot. They were all like how dare Sonny yell at Claudia in front of all these people, it's all his fault. Ya, it's Sonny's fault that Claudia is bat shit crqzy. What was up with Robin, I don't know how I feel about Sonny anymore after this party. It took this party for you to feel different, this shit was tame comparred to all the other stuff that's happened to Sonny. Krisitna's crying because her father yelled at Claudia, he was an animal. He yelled at her for a reason dumb ass. Like she's one to talk. Was that scene supposed to make me accept Alexies' selfish parenting? Jax's true colors come out. I had a feeling that he kept this secret because he only cares for Carly and HIS kid. It wasn't to protect it's because he really could give a shit about his stepkids. Of course I don't like Jax. I loved the look Michael gave him when he was trying to give his half assed apology. The only person who seemed to care about Claudia's involvement in Michael's shooting, except Sonny and Jason, was Carly. Everybody was pissed at Sonny because he yelled at Claudia and granted she did kidnap Carly. Claudia can't get hurt, it doesn't matter anymore Michael is up and walking around. Ugh, good episode but it pissed me off.

Have to give props here - Booblivia -- That made me spit out my drink. TOO FUNNY.
Todays epi was great in so many ways. I couldnt disagree more about MB. As season said - what would the appropriate amount of anger be in this situation. He actually gave me chills when he was calling her out. Yeah, I could have done without w*ore but still it was an amazing scene.
SJB gave an amazing performance. Sometimes crazy, sometimes sad, sometimes empty and longing. I loved that they filmed it in the dark lighting with just the cast of light on her face. My only regret was I was hoping she would tell Carly how many times she went to visit Michael. I can help but say again there was so much potential for SJB and Claudia but tptb really blew it.
Totally agree about LW - her expression conveyed so much.
My dear Johnny - I just love him even more for stepping up and trying to protect his sister but then realizing that Carly, as the victim, had to come first.
Loved the reactions of Tracy, Maxie, Lulu and even Luke (although I wonder when he realized Carly was his niece)
Loved the scene between Dante and Michael and I have to say when Kristina was flipping about what would happen to Michael if his mother died I got a bit misty. That girl is turning into a fine actress. Loved that Sam kept an eye on Michael even when dealing with others - I like that she is so sisterly with him.
So who pissed me off...
Jax - so now its okay for Jason to be a killer and a person who knows how to find people when its someone you care about but the rest of the time, not so much. I hate how he took zero responsibility for protecting Jerry. And then then the last line about Michael getting shot...uggh. (oh and I think the new cop released everyone, he said he had their statements, which was why Sam and Michael could go to the lobby)
Alexis - I wanted to like her for showing compassion to Kristina but what was up with her accusatory tone with Sam - did you and Jason know Sonny was going to do this? First, no they didnt. Second the part that was bad was the threats to kill her, not the calling her out part. Did she think Sam not only knew what Sonny was going to do, but that he gave her and advance script for sign off.
Robin - make no mistake - she is only sick of the violence and upset about all of this because she could have stopped it. She owns some responsibility here (as does everyone who had a piece of this thing along the way)
Olivia - Loved the look Dante gave her when he realized she knew about the hit. Yeah the I had the best of you stuff was soapy but I just didnt like her running around and the stupidity of wanting dante to come out there...uggh.
I just found the four of them to be very hypocritical today.
But I didnt hate their parts of the show, loved how it all played out, just hated their actions. Still thought it was all good stuff
As for JJ - his absence irritated me but not for the same reasons as some of you. Lucky is one character not 3 - 1 for each actor that played the part. Each actor has to play the role in total, the entire history up until that point. I saw this the fact that he wasnt in this episode as a sign that tptb want to erase the cop parts either because it doesnt fit with what they want the jj version to be, because TG never thought Lucky would become a cop in the first place, or because they dont think JJ would be believable as a cop. Personally, I think he probably could be, so cutting him out IMHO shortchanges the actor. Tptb cant simply erase the parts of the history that they no longer like now that they have rediscovered the character.

Lady you posted when I did so let me say ICAM about the yelling at sonny and not reacting to Claudia shooting a minor in the head. Maybe because so many of them already knew??
I also agree about the look michael gave jax...uh I didnt mean that the way it came out. Okay Jax then how did you mean it. I meant it in the I'm worried about Carly way. LOL YEAH...RIGHT>
Forgot to also say, Samrocks thats for taking on the Elwood post. My blood pressure needed a break.

The whole first part of the show before the first commercial break was EXCELLENT and very well directed. I was on the edge of my seat. Claudia was right when she said, "You let your kids run wild. It was your fault your son was in that warehouse that night."
The episode kind of dimmed down after that. I really despise Jason and hate how he was acting..he should have just shutted the hell up! He is so annoying...his overly wierd obsession with Michael is what made things so worse!
I will miss Claudia =(

Your right EET, everybody and there mother knew that Claudia was in on Michael's shooting. They just didn't feel the need to tell their parents or the cops because they really could care less about Michael and they had other shit to worry about. I mean Kate and Olivia had tons of other stuff to do. It doesn't matter now, he's up and talking. If I was Michael I'd blow up PC and tell everyone to f**k off right before he did it, lol.

Ladyofthelake...I don't support that idea at all, but it was such an awesome ending to an awesome post, that I could barely retype it without giggling.
(Note to self: Start thinking of other great nicknames for Olivia.)
You and EET make great points about damn near everyone in attendance already KNOWING about Claudia's involvement. The only way it could have been more anticlimactic - for those in attendance, at least, would be if Sonny had also said, "and p.s., Jake is Jason's son." Hell, even Loo knows that secret, LOL.

Ok I loved thought Maurice was brilliant today , not over acting at all I think he should get an EMMY , he played the all scenes well , with anger .
Also Sara was amazing . Laura and Steve amazing the look of his eyes when he heard Carly can die was amazing ....
I don't think Sonny was thinking clearly , he lost it as Jason did this week , Michael is something very different for them they love him so much , you can say that this is odd , and not great , but this is, when Michael got hurt Sonny and Jason lost something ....
They couldn't think straight , Sonny lost it and it is understandable ......
OK I don't really think Kris saw her real dad , what she saw was her father losing it on a woman who got his son her brother shoot he wasn't a monster, all she thought was about herself ......
Robin - you know Sonny a long time and now she thinks of it WTH , what happened that night was BECAUSE CLAUDIA GOT MICHAEL SHOOT
people need to remember that ......
alexis was so annoying and I know she will take this to her advantage ..
I loved to see that Luke cared for Carly I thought it was so cute
and even Tracy cared when she talked with Lulu and told her that Carly can take care if herself ......
I loved Dante/Dom calm and how he tried to relax Michael ..
Loved Sam taking care of Michael like he is her little Brother .....
Jax was annoying and really shout be smacked ..I saw how Jason was looking at Michael at that time he didn't want Michael to feel that bad..
Johnny I loved how he tried to protect his sister and than talking with Jason I really hope they won't make him Diego type I loved seeing Johnny and Jason working together .
Jason I so love him I loved seeing how worried he was to Carly , I wish he would have left early before the cops came .....
Mac I wanted to smack him tonight he had no reason arrest Jason only so he can find Carly when of course they won't do, If Mac had a good reason arrest Jason I would say yes but not this time he just wanted to push him out of the way for his ego
Jason need to be out and Save Carly and that is all that matter Carly and her baby
I hate Mac today
Love Sam fighting for her man

I'll be the first to admit that the mob on GH has become completely overplayed and I particularly hate the fact that the golden boy of the show is a hitman. However, Friday's episode was soapy good.
First of all, I love when we have big cast moments on the show because it really brings to life the history of the characters and layers the scenes even more. The people present were appropriate. My only gripe was that Kate was absent. She should have been there too, damn it!
I love Robin Scorpio and while I agree with every word she stated about Sonny being a magnet for violence, bad judgment and craziness. She's been an enabler to all of it in general and in this case specifically, she and Patrick help bring that evidence to light and then said nothing to prevent the fall out. However, she's not alone in her hypocrisy.
Everyone in that room is a hypocrite and in some way responsible for all this mess for the past two years. Why? Because they all accept Sonny, Jason, Johnny, Max, Diane and all the other mobsters into their lives as friends, lovers or whatever instead of shunning them to the back corners of society. Instead of going to the cops, they kept their secrets or even help in their dirty work. They all consciously or subconsciously live by the code of mob in that town.
MB over acted a little bit, but that is his style and in that moment I thought it was appropriate. His "Yes, Jerry Jax" was brilliant.
Olivia and her "I know you are better than this" was just laughable to me. Um...she obviously hasn't been around for the past 10 plus years. Anyone who knows anything about Sonny knows this is EXACTLY how he would and does react to betrayal.
Jason obviously wasn't using his two remaining brain cells when he dropped the bomb on Sonny and then sat back and watched as it blew up in everyone's face especially his "best" friend Carly.
Jax is a putz! I'm so glad being exposed. It's long overdue.
I'm glad Kristina got an eye full of her father. Yeah, maybe your Mom isn't the possessive over protective Bitch you thought. However, her comments about Chucky were a bit annoying. Seriously, I don't like that girl and I hate Chucky. It's funny to see the influence of Sonny on his Chucky versus how Sonny's oldest son turned out without his influence. I'm not saying keeping kids away from their parents is good, but sometimes I understand a parent's need to protect. Sonny is toxic.
Finally, I don't like the stuff coming out of Patrick's mouth recently. All this talk of martial law is frightening. Mac said it. This stuff started because someone thought that violence was the best way to handle their issues. It has to stop somewhere. For the record (and I love Mac), he's also contributed to the mob lifestyle in PC by doing his fare share of looking the other way when he thought it was appropriate.

First of all people love Jason and Sonny not because what they do because what they are..
Jason and Sonny are a loyal friends to everyone and that is why people like him
Sonny helped Stone when he died Jason helped Robin move on with her life ...
and both Sonny and jason would come to her when she needs it
And by the way I don't buy the all hypocrisy that no one would have acted like Sonny and Jason would
When someone you love in hurt you want to revenge that
Mac also I still think of the times he wanted to Kill Spinelli for dating Maxi is that ok????
Alexis killed Alcazar because he hurt her and her daughter and lets not forget she with Luke tried to kill helena , and almost killed Katharine Bell, is that OK??? and she will do that gain I know she will
Tracy also is not that innocent........
Sonny was not himself that night that was not Sonny , he just learn that his wife was behind his son shooting, and still decided that she wanted to be near him no one , no one would have acted differently
ANd Kris need to remember that her monster saved her from prison he could have told the police and punished her more but he didn't
An dI am not that happy that a daughter saw her father rage what so great about that?
she already have abusive boyfriend so that will just keep her in his direction more what so great about that ??
I am Mob fan and I don't want to see Lucky and Liz show .......
And the ratings wasn't down because of Jason it was because the build up for the sweeps were not good, I really think that if they will make it the lucky Liz show the ratings will not be that good also ...
Jason and Sonny by the way are important to the show and they do have lost of fans my self in them so making them go will not help the show
what they need is good S/L like this year ...
I agree that the past years their stories are stupid and so boring I agree , but this year it got better .... and there is more balance and I am all for it ...
