First Impressions: Tom Pelphrey on ATWT

TP did great on his ATWT debut, but.... between this "miracle plant", Noah's "fall", Jack and his wacky roadtrip (Ben Franklin?!?) and ghostly Brad, ATWT is swimming in dangerous waters yet again. Let's hope they don't go too far to the point where we can't reel them back in.

I think Tom was great hope he gets a better story if he stays. With all soaps desperate for rattings think ATWT does a job in holding it together even with the stupid stunts.

I liked Mick. Of course I like Tom Pelphrey. I can take Mick's silly introduction since I'm pretty sure that he's a big-deal con man. I loved his scenes with Paul and Emily and even Casey. But please....don't waste TP/Mick on crappy Alison.

Why? Tom Pelphrey is a proven actor, he has, what is it 2 emmys to prove it, so why the crappy introduction in a dark stairwell with that storyline vortex-inducing Allison? Why, I ask? Why?

Like Brando guesting on Gilligan's Island: the guy is brilliant, the show is unbelievable in that this writing is what they offer him. CRAP: ATWT will deserve what it gets after Carjack's trip and some guest stunts like Pelphrey's are treated so poorly. Get rid of Goutman, or the show is not on this time next year.

Never watched GL. Is he worth the hype the industry seems to give him?

Well, he certainly is one of the more dynamic actors to appear on soaps in years. I always thought he made everything he did on GL pop. Primetime hasn't given him the love (or the challenges) he had in daytime, so I guess it wasn't all that tough of a decision to take a role on ATWT.

I just wish I could bring myself to watch even a minute of that show to see what he's up to, but no, no...

he will always be Jonathan to me but I thought he was good. He even made Alison tolerable. atwt please recast casey, he is just awful.

I have been a fan of ATWT for a long time - as well as GL. I am so happy that Tom is on ATWT as he is a terrific actor. If Mick turns out to be a big bad con man - Tom is the actor who can pull that off. For the most part I think the story lines on ATWT are great except for the Brad ghost thing. Maybe Ghost Whisper will loan out Jennifer Love's character of Melinda to come to ATWT to cross over Brad and be done with it!!!!

LOVE TOM PELPHREY! Although he really hasn't had a chance to show his "truly natural" acting abilities yet I just hope he turns out to be someones family member so they can and will keep him.

I love Tom Pelphrey. I am thrilled he has come on board. I wish it were long term instead a short term but I am greedy when it come's to Tom. I don't know if the storyline will suck or not but I am sure Tom will make it fun to watch. I agree with the poster who said keep him away from Alison. I can't see why every guy who come's on the show just has to have the ex porno star. I just don't see any thing there.
I hope Tom isn't going to be a boring traveling salesman and that he has a exciting role because he is certainly up to it.
