Reunited and it Feels so Good on DAYS

Ugh, I for one am more upset at EJ than Sami. At least Sami has tried to redeem herself for her past. EJ has been nothing but an ass this whole storyline. And now, suddenly he's gonna be all "ooooh my wonderful baby" after kicking the poor little thing out on the street?? Granted he thought she wasn't his by blood, but he raised her for the first how many months of her life and then just disregards her like a piece of clothing? BULLS**T! Be mad at Nicole, but for the love of everything decent, try and help the innocent baby!

In totally agreement, Jackie. I didn't get how he could bond with that child then want her gone once he thought she wasn't biologically his.

I know this is pretty much off subject, but does anyone else get the feeling that they're going to make Mia Carly's daughter? It seemed like they hinted at it today. It would make sense since Carly keeps talking about "protecting somebody" and Mia is 16, which correlates with when Lawrence and Carly left. Maybe he didn't want the baby because it was someone elses and they gave her up for adoption.

I don't understand how Days isn't number 2 in the ratings..it is a better show than B&B ! lol

I'm just glad it is doing better than GH! From what I've read, DooL is one of NBC's few success stories right now.

I agree Scout. Even Melanie is growing on me! I can see from your signature picture that you're a big fan. She used to get on my nerves so bad, but she seems to have evolved like Nicole. Arianne Zucker has really surprised me with her acting. She really knows her stuff. Very talented. I have always wondered why they didn't make Nicole Melanie's mother. It would have made sense. Oh well, you can't have everybody related on the show, but it would make sense since Nicole was married to Trent Robbins. I agree with several about The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital. I stopped watching General Hospital several years ago because it's been invaded by mob characters. I just gave up. The Bold and the Beautiful is a trainwreck. Days of Our Lives has proven that they can actually do things right; I'm just wondering if Dena Higley has anything to with it. She didn't seem to have any talent before.

ITA! She still has her character flaws but she does seem to want to grow up and have love and friends and a good life. But her flaws and mistakes mixed with a little kindness has made her a watchable soap character. But I'm not sold on either Philip or Nathan as her love interests. I liked her with Nick.

I don't know what the deal on Higley is, either. But I've been subjected to enough of her so-called writing both on Days and OLTL to know her hackery from a mile away. And Days currently doesn't have her usual stench on it.

Also: although I watch very little of NBC's primetime schedule, I have seen enough to know that the network is doing much better at promoting Days during primetime. They actually seem to be a little proud of it; but it does seem to be their little engine that could -- because it seems that Days has saved itself.

So kudos to the Peacock for showing Days the proper love.

I liked her with Nick too. The actor who played him was great. He was one of the best I've ever seen on Days. I think Higley is just a figurehead. It seems like Whitesell and Gary Tomlin have taken over, and that's definitely for the better. She does some of the dumbest storylines; they are soooo boring.
The thing with NBC is it seems to be collapsing. Maybe the Comcast merger will do them some good. Days of our Lives is one of two shows I actually like on NBC. The Office is the other.

One other thing: Who would be Mia's father? It couldn't be Bo; that would make Will and Mia related somehow, wouldn't it?

Careful -- applying logic to Days might make your head explode!

Yeah. Applying logic to Days is usually pointless. They pave their own way. Do you remember if Will and Mia have ever kissed? Eh, does it even matter? Cassie and Lucas almost had sex, but they are half-siblings. Doesn't even matter anymore to writers on Days, or for that matter, any other soap. Bold and the Beautiful, Y&R, and I think General Hospital, have all done it. Guiding Light took a leap and continued it! Oh well. It would make sense to have Bo as Mia's father. I wouldn't put it past the writers. Who else could the father be? The only other one I could think of is Dr. Jonas. Someone mentioned before Carly came on that she might have a past with him.

I've never watched 30 Rock. I'll have to try it sometime. I watch Mercy sometimes with my sister. I think it's one of those shows they will cancel by the end of the season though. NBC is in such bad shape, so I think they will wipe out most of their schedule by the end of the season.

I have to say that I just started watching Days again (I stopped during MarDevil) due to my dissatisfaction with GH and I can't wait to see that slap on my screen! I'm amazed that I'm actually liking Sami, too! Kick GH's butt, Days!
