Crystal Chappell returns to Days of Our Lives as Carly Manning by stabbing Lawrence. Jamey shares a rumor about who Carly might be paired with in the future, which elicits groans from everyone on the podcast. James Scott and Arianne Zucker were on fire this past week as EJ and Nicole.

The Young and the Restless has written Victor into a corner and Eric Braeden out. The Jack and Victor feud has claimed a life, can they revert back to their old rivalry without trivializing Colleen’s death? Now that an Abbott has died, shouldn’t a Newman die? How good was last week's Days of Our Lives? After watching this video preview, for the week of Oct. 5, it looks to be just as good! I know the preview only shows EJ (James Scott), Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and the baby reveal storyline, which is something I'm looking forward to, but for Carly (Crystal Chappell) fans, more than just a glimpse of your girl is coming this week. She's on a plane to Salem!

The 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards featured several ladies in lavender. All My Children's Outstanding Lead Actress nominee Debbi Morgan and One Life to Live's Outstanding Supporting Actress nominee Bree Williamson both wore shades of purple on the red carpet. Kyle Lowder (Rick; B&B) may need to swing by the fictional Forrester Creations office for pink fabric for he and wife Arianne Zucker's (Nicole; DAYS) baby nursery. The Bold and the Beautiful star tweeted the gender of the newest addition to their family:

It's a...girl! No, Ari didn't give birth yet, just found out the gender. Daddy's feeling a little light headed :)

Check out this sneak peek at this week's Days of Our Lives. It seems EJ (James Scott) is suspicious of Stefano (Joe Mascolo) and wants to know why his father and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) are as thick as thieves.

Days of Our Lives is upping the stakes this week as Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) make an "unholy" alliance in this week's promo. When Sami finds out Nicole has done, after trying to make a truce the shitaki mushrooms will hit the fan.

I'm beginning to worry that my anticipation of Sami learning the truth–and the fallout from the revelation–will end up making me sorely disappointed, if it doesn't live up to my expectations. At this point though, it seems they are laying the groundwork for something really good.
