The New York Observer Loves Themselves Some Imaginary Bitches!
Submitted by Jamey Giddens on August 13, 2009 - 9:39amThe New York Observer has a new guilty pleasure, a little web comedy called Imaginary Bitches! Check out what the reporter has to say about Andrew Miller and Eden Riegel's creative love child.
Imaginary Bitches is a hilarious, better than Sex and the City, YouTube sensation you probably don't know about. The Web series, which premiered last year, was just nominated for an Emmy in the "New Approaches" category. Soap star Eden Riegel of All My Children stars as a single gal whose friends all get into their boyfriend bubbles, so she creates her own social world populated by imaginary friends who aren't so friendly. The show, created and produced by Ms. Riegel's husband, Andrew Miller, is currently being shopped as a movie.

Y&R: Should Daniel and Jana Hook Up?
Submitted by Luke Kerr on July 8, 2009 - 3:54pm
In an interview with TV Guide Canada Greg Rikaart and Emily O'Brien discuss her Emmy nomination, Kevin and Jana's marriage and whether or not Daniel and Jana should hook up.
TVG: Emily, it looks like Y&R is testing chemistry between you and Michael Graziadei [Daniel]. Are they going to have an affair?
EO: I don’t know. I like the fab four together. The writers are always testing different relationships to create more conflict. But for now, I think it’s a platonic relationship.TVG: Are you jealous, Greg, that Graz may be moving in on your woman?
GR: I wouldn’t be jealous if it’s a good story. The four of us are far more interesting together than apart. We work better together as a unit. But I understand trying to create tension between us if Jana and Daniel were to develop a romantic relationship.
Should Daniel and Jana hook up?
Y&R: Jana's Bail Is Denied
Submitted by Luke Kerr on June 23, 2009 - 9:49amIf you were a judge would you let Jana Fisher (Emily O'Brien) out on bail? Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) isn't the only one in their household with a criminal past and it looks as if it finally caught up with her. Do you think Jana should have been denied bail?
Line of the Week:"Lily is a Good Judge of Character"
Submitted by Jillian Bowe on June 19, 2009 - 12:00pm
With Genoa City being a gossipy town, hasn't Paul heard of Lily's (Christel Khalil) track record with men? Kevin (Greg Rikaart) gave her an STD, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) decided to take up porn viewing as a hobby, Billy (Billy Miller) hustled her about baby Delia's paternity, and now comes the news that Cane (Daniel Goddard) isn't the Chancellor heir and Phillip III (Thom Bierdz) is still alive. Brian Frons says, "Emotional Jeopardy" is Key to Emmy Nods
Submitted by Jamey Giddens on May 20, 2009 - 7:35am
Michael Maloney has written a nice article for Variety on this year's Daytime Emmy nominations. Even though I think the Enemas for the most part are bogus, it's really nice to see soaps written about in the trades and the theme of the article not being their pending demise for a change.
It's also great to see not-so-Imaginary Bastards, er Bitches, Andrew Miller and Greg Rikaart quoted in regards to IB's groundbreaking Emmy nod and Y&R's shameful Best Drama snub, respectively. Of course I couldn't get through the entire article without reading something that made my eyes bleed and my nose twitch like Samantha on Bewitched after a particularly decadent night at Studio 54. Check out the irony in the below passage about what ABC Daytime's Brian Frons thinks it takes fo an actor to net an Emmy nomination.
MAJOR CONGRATS: Imaginary Bitches Nominated for Special Daytime Emmy!
Submitted by Jamey Giddens on May 14, 2009 - 12:23pm
It looks like every cloud has a silver web series. I am rescending Opposites Day to sincerely, and totally on purpose congratulate the cast and crew of my favorite 2008 series Imaginary Bitches on their very first Daytime Emmy nomination. No, seriously, IB is my favorite show, has been since the moment I saw that one guy call Eden Riegel "bat shit crazy". Opposites Day is over people. Let's move on!
"We couldn't be more thrilled," says Imaginary Bitches creator Andrew Miller. "Even Catherine and Heather are walking around with smiles on their faces!"
IB is nominated in the New Approaches in Daytime Entertainment category opposite fellow You Tube series I Met The Walrus. TAC. TV, The New York Times Magazine Screen Tests and All My Children are also nominated. READ MORE
