Is There Hope For Romance On B&B In 2009?

I’m entering 2009 with a sense of dread when it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful. I’m scratching my head, trying to remember if there has ever been such an unappealing set of couples onscreen at once. Continue Reading...

Last Week's B&B: Tramp Gets Dumped, Bratty Sons Scheme

Eric (John McCook) continued to string along Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) while he made up his mind over which one was worthy of him. What a silly old goat. Stephanie should crush him and Donna both, not put up with this nonsense. At the very least, she should drag that skank out by her hair (she’s done it before). It’s not the first time two women have been pitted against each other to “try out” as wifey on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ridge (Ronn Moss) did the same thing, but even more sleazily, when Taylor (Hunter Tylo) last came back from the dead. Continue Reading...

Caption This: Eddie Cibrian on Ugly Betty

Heather Tom wasn't the only soap star or former soap star on Thursday's Ugly Betty. Eddie Cibrian returned as Coach Tony Diaz, showing up at Mode where Amanda and Marc acted like they wanted to eat him alive. Check out a couple of the other pictures after the jump and then take your best shot at a Caption This. Continue Reading...

Heather Tom on Ugly Betty

The Bold and the Beautiful's Heather Tom is known to have a soft spot for fashion. Is it any surprise then that she appeared on ABC's Ugly Betty, a show centered on a ficticious fashion magazine?

Tom portrayed Holly Wright, an attorney hired by Daniel Meade to help keep custody of his French born son.  Check out more pictures from the episode after the jump. Continue Reading...

Soaps in the City

Break out those cosmos for Soaps in the City, a benefit for AIDS Walk Los Angeles and the Michael Fairman On-Air On-Soaps launch party. The benefit, which brought together Michelle Stafford, Kimberly McCullough, James Scott and Heather Tom for an IN LA Magazine photo shoot, will take place on October 16, 2008.

Heather Tom Gets "UGLY"

Michael Ausiello is reporting at Entertainment Weekly that The Bold and the Beautiful's Heather Tom is going to be getting ugly, Ugly Betty that is.

According to Ausiello "She'll play a State Department liaison to Daniel's long-lost son in at least three episodes. I'm going to venture a guess that Daniel Sr. will want to, ahem, liaise with her as well."

Tom, who was named to TV Guide Canda's The 21 Most Influencial Players in daytime,  appeared in the short lived The Wedding Bells last season.

For those who may not watch The Bold and the Beautiful regularily Tom's character Katie Logan just survived a heart transplant, near death and has now discovered she's pregnant thanks to some off screen sex with Jack Wagner's Nick Marone.

Let's hope that her Ugly Betty character is a bit more lucky than Katie Logan.

Thanks to Megan for the tip!

Bold and Beautiful: A WTF Moment for Katie!

Will wonders never cease? Rumor has it the August 12 issue of Soap Opera Digest will reveal that Katie Logan is pregnant. Apparently she had near-death sex on Catalina Island with Nick when the cameras weren't rolling.

Sensible Katie was allowed to be romanced by Nick during those brief days she had left to live. Bridget selflessly stepped aside to make her remaining time special. It's about to bite her in the butt. Katie finds out about her delicate condition during a follow up exam for her recent heart transplant.

The Bold and the Beautiful has the ability to take a tired plot point and revitalize a rivalry or invigorate a character. The most recent roll-your-eyes moment was Taylor finding out that Jack was Brooke's biological mother. It turned out to be a surprising storyline that reignited Brooke and Taylor's simmering feud and had Taylor running for the nearest phone to order up a case of vodka.

Katie's pregnancy is a stretch, even for me. Aside from the obvious health issues, this latest development should send Bridget right over the edge. First it was her mother, now it's her aunt. One can only hope that Katie's revelation will finally give the simpering Bridget the sharp edge she had when blasted Brooke for wavering between Nick and Ridge. Ashley Jones has proven she has the ability, so I say bring it on!

Bold and Beautiful: Update

I really hope that mental asylum Bridget is headed for is big enough for two. I think Stephanie Forrester is headed straight for the four rubber walls as well. Rocking in a chair? In the dark? Depressed? Glaring at family photos like it’s all about to come to an end? What is going on?

We didn’t even see Eric pay her a visit-a promise he made to Felicia. Eric even had the key to the beach house. Where are Bold and the Beautiful going with this? A little creepy? Maybe. Especially since Susan Flannery’s portrayal as Laura Horton on Days of Our Lives many moons ago had her end up in a loony bin. Is this depression starting to surface or is there something more to what we are witnessing? It’s confirmed, Felicia Forrester is the best possible stand in to help bring her mother back from the brink or take over the complete dynasty.

As always in true soap fashion a wedding is held up because there is a need for another member of an opposing family wishing to confess their undying love for the groom. Was anyone else’ guts turning when Nick told Stephen Logan that it was ‘something the Logan woman do for him’? What’s with that? It’s like saying – I’ve had your daughter, her daughter and I want your other daughter. Come off it! Continue Reading...

Bold and Beautiful: Deputy Do-Gooder

See that horrified look on Katie Logan's face? That pretty much sums up my expression as I'm sitting here trying to catch up on last week's The Bold and the Beautiful.

Haven't they put poor Katie Logan through enough already? They nearly kill her, give her a heart transplant, nearly kill her again and then have the impressively naive Bridgette get her deputized so that she can become deputy do-gooder and marry off the man she's in love with? Darn it already! Poor Katie Logan just can't get a break. If a virus doesn't kill Katie she'll end up dying from a heart attack inflicted by emotional trauma. That or she'll end up falling in love with Eric like each of her other sisters. Honestly, I'm not sure which would be worse.
