Martha Byrne is on her way out of Port Charles. According to the print edition of ABC Soaps In Depth, Byrne's character Andrea gets a "pretty intense ending" the week of Sept. 7.

MICHAEL: Is it painful to watch? Is that why you don’t check in to see your old cast mates?

MARTHA: Not painful. I just don’t feel a part of it anymore. There is so much going on there that has nothing to do with me. My friendships are my friendships, but sadly, I don’t have the connection in a way. I do check in from time to time. I speak to Michael Park (Jack) all the time, and Kelly (Emily) and John (Holden) Hensley and Paolo, and the make-up and hair department of “ATWT”. Those people are my friends. I miss that, those daily social aspects of seeing your friends. It’s like leaving to go to college. You have those relationships you leave behind. But strangely enough, they become stronger, because there is a certain appreciation for the value of those friendships when you are not there on a daily basis. Like college, you have to really keep in touch with people to maintain those friendships. I am a very social animal and it’s important to keep those relationships to me.

What about Kate? Have they forgotten about the fashionista? I know her fans haven’t forgotten about her. Apparently she’s still on vacation and as I’ve mentioned already, one THEORY is that Kate MAY never return to PC. It’s POSSIBLE that she will call and say she’s not coming back. What does that mean for Crimson? A RUMOR has Jax asking Olivia to step in and run the mag temporarily. Another SPOILER says that Kate has a surprise for Maxie. Is the surprise that she’s not coming back? I think Carly would be the better fit to become Editor in Chief.

Who killed Brianna Hughes? The Mayor didn’t do it and Robin suspects the jealous wife. The GOSSIP says that while they originally planned to have Andrea be the killer, it MAY be changed due to Martha Byrne’s success with the fans. Mercedes’ name continues to pop up in conjunction with this storyline. Could the nanny have something to do with it? Andrea wants to take the heat off her and starts to frame Alexis with some incriminating emails. Eventually, Alexis is cleared and the real killer is exposed. READ MORE

The month of July starts with fireworks, as usual, but look for the explosions to continue all month long on "General Hospital." Let's tackle the big one right off the bat: Dominic is Dante! Dante is Dominic! Yes, Olivia's son -- and Sonny's secret firstborn -- turns out to be one and the same with the gun-wielding thug who made his first impression on Port Charles by holding Morgan hostage in the woods. Hey, guess we know why those two seemed to have such a strong rapport: they're brothers! But does Dante know that? And does Olivia know her son is trying to get a job in Sonny's organization? It's a whole bucketful of questions that's getting uncovered. But look for Olivia to find herself drawn to Sonny in the next few weeks, which is not going to make "Jolivia" fans (like, um, us) happy at all.
 

So Dante… I like the actor, I’m still not sure how they go from the big soap names they were trying to woo to this guy. Hopefully lightening strikes twice, or three times with the casting department as they did a fantastic job with Michael and Kristina. Time will tell and really, the actor can be fantastic but if the story sucks, does anyone really care? READ MORE

General Hospital was doing a Cougar storyline with Olivia and Johnny before All My Children did it with Erica and Ryan.

Marcie gets her miracle baby on One Life to Live. Cole was sentenced to prison time. Does anyone believe he'll actually do a full sentence? Could Starr be raising their daughter on her own? Todd's reaction to Cole proposing had Regan cracking up. Dorian woke up with a hangover, but do we buy Ray being the love of Dorian's life? How will Natalie factor into the Rex and Gigi saga?
