Jonathan Jackson returns as Lucky Spencer tomorrow, so in honor of his return I dug up some classic clips from YouTube. I started watching General Hospital in 1998, so many of these scenes and storylines are what helped to hook me on the show. After the jump, you'll find clips of Lucky finding out from Nicholas that Luke raped his mother, Lucky confronting Laura about the rape, Lucky visiting Tammy the hooker, Lucky and Elizabeth dealing with her rape, Lucky and Elizabeth promos and even one or two fan-made music montages. Here’s the Scoop! 10.02.09

I dropped a few comments on things this AM. One being that Rachel Ames aka Audrey Webber is set to come out of retirement to help her granddaughter Elizabeth out of jam. Is the jam Helena created? Was that the big return? No, Audrey has been living off camera ever since Ames retired. It’s been RUMORED a few times that Audrey would be popping back into PC with some fans even campaigning for the character’s death. A little morbid IMO to campaign for a longtime character’s death but hey to each their own. An Audrey appearance, Jonathan Jackson’s return and an affair with her ex’s brother… looks like Elizabeth Webber is off the backburner. Thankfully she wasn’t there too long. Today's episode of General Hospital was an evil manipulation of Liason fan's emotions. Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) may be cute, and I'm willing to admit they have chemistry, but they shouldn't be the endgame.
 
When Jason spotted Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Jake together, the look of pain from being separated from them which flashed across his face was proof positive that Sam is nothing more than a romantic crutch he'll hobble along on until the day comes–be it ever so distant– when he reunites with Elizabeth and his son.

As of this writing, The 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards concluded a few hours ago on The CW and I am awash in mixed emotions after live Twittering the event. I wanted to put down these feelings while they are still fresh but I promise to keep these ruminations brief.

First, let me offer congratulations to Daytime Confidential's Jamey Giddens, along with TVGuide.ca's Nelson Branco and Soap Opera Digest editor Stephanie Sloane in their debut as commentators during the awards pre-show. Though one could detect a teeny bit of the jitters at various times, they were a class act all the way. Rebecca Herbst and Kelly Monaco were among several General Hospital stars who recently taped a children's book for Speakaboos, according to Examiner.com. Though not specifically mentioned in the article as having taped for Speakaboos, GH's Greg Vaughan and Jason Thompson also appear in candid photos from the taping.

TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco had this cryptic statement regarding my beloved Rebecca Herbst's (Saint Lizzie Beth) future at General Hospital in his last Suds Report:

Rebecca Herbst’s (Liz) future is in question again. And that’s all I’m saying.

Sigh. Namaste. Imagining a glowing, yellow ball radiating warmth. Not going to call any network execs pig vomit...

Hey brass at General Hospital, wanna a.) give the fans what they want in terms of more storylines featuring the hospital and b.) actually tell a storyline featuring people of color on your canvas as opposed to simply having them provide psychiatric counseling, prenatal advice and sassy commentary at the nurses' station? How about bringing back the character of Tom "Tommy" Hardy Jr. in the form of Guiding Light star and recent Ugly Betty guest Lawrence Saint-Victor?

As the son of Dr. Tom Hardy (last played by DAYS superstar Matt Ashford) and Tom's African-American ex-wife Dr. Simone Ravelle (last played by Felicia Bell), Tommy Hardy is a legacy character in the true definition of the word— the grandson of GH's first supercouple Dr. Steve (the late John Beradino) and Nurse Audrey (Rachel Ames), which makes Tommy a descendant of Port Charles' first family and a cousin to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).   READ MORE

Well now you have. Betty "The National Treasure" White   is set to star in The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Check out the hilarious Funny or Die clip of White sitting down for an interview with Bullock and Reynolds. Here’s the Scoop! 04.29.09

You all know I’m dreading the LL2 reunion right? I do love Rebecca Herbst and my roomie is a huge Greg Vaughan fan so I guess there is some silver lining to the dark cloud, more airtime for Becky and Greg. It however, does not dampen my Liason love who has a scene coming up! I’m such a sucker… At least it seems the writers remember that Elizabeth works in the hospital that Jason is in and that the former loves could possibly run into one another.

Since there’s Liason coming… and LL2 what should JaSam fans be looking for? RUMORS of Jason confiding in Sam although those RUMORS had that happening weeks ago and so far, nothing. Possibly next week… In other Kelly news not only was Lindsay Lohan supposedly looked at as her PeepShow replacement but now there are reports that Elizabeth Berkley (Jesse Spano, Saved By the Bell) was spotted at the PeepShow and the “showgirl” MAY be in talks to join the show.
