DAYS Spoilers

This just in. A source close to the set of Days of Our Lives says news of Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) leaving the sudser has proven premature.

"Jay is back!" says the source. "It was all just a stupid misunderstanding."

The source also reveals Peter Reckell (Bo) and Kristian Alfonso (Hope) agreed to take massive pay cuts.

"And good for them!" says the source. "It says a lot about Peter and Kristian for them to do that. It says that they are team players and want the show to succeed."

Even more top tier Days actors are being asked to take substantial cuts as well. Keep checking back to Daytime Confidential as this story develops.

Who let all the spoilers out? Someone down at Days of our Lives must be busy tapping those keys, because the spoilers are coming thick and fast! Here are just a few for your reading pleasure.

Nicole: RUMORS are circulating on the web that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is going to go into pre-term labor and lose her baby. Brady (Eric Martsolf) will be with her when it happens and is the one who breaks the sad news. Nicole panics and decides to keep the loss of the baby a secret from EJ (James Scott).

As the onlaught of Passions hunks begins on Days of Our Lives, I have to say, I am particularly troubled about the reveal that Horton great-grandson Nick Fallon, played by the brilliant and underrated Blake Berris, will next week be revealed as Trent's killer, according to Soap Opera Weekly. Is Dena Higley trying to write possibly the best actor on her canvas into a corner to make room for more eye candy? If so this will be the latest in a long run of this writer's costly mistakes.

One of the few highlights this show still has to offer is watching Berris, an actual theater-vetted actor, make even the most ridiculous and implausible plot points believable, due to his earthy, realistic acting style.  Speaking of ridiculous and implausiable, I don't buy for one second that sensitive, creative Nick would kill anyone, let alone allow Grandma Brady or a pregnant Nicole Walker to take the fall all for this Melanie person he has only known for five minutes. This plot point is a, wait for it, hot mess!

Were it Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) who Nick killed someone for I might buy it, since she is the only girl he has ever loved. You can tell me he loves Melanie all you want, but until she show me, I won't buy it. Continue Reading...

Galen Gering hits your screen this week on Days of Our Lives – but not until Friday (so feel free to skip until then).  I know, I'm pimping Galen's debut a lot, but really, there is nothing else exciting about this show right now.  For example, here are this week's 'spoiler highlights': Trent’s will is read, Nicole is arrested and Nick… well, Nick takes in Willow 2.0 – I mean Melanie.  What else is in store?  Read on, for this week’s Preview from Denial Island (Oct 27-31).

Little Johnny DiMera is one smart cookie (normally I'd say he takes after his Daddy, but at the moment I'm not so sure).  He saw through the mountain of pregnancy clothing Sami’s wore last week and said ‘Baby’.  Does EJ hear it?  Sure he does, but he believes Sami’s cock and bull story about it being some twin language crap.  Where has smart EJ gone?  Sami gets moved to her safe house and meets bodyguard #1 (Darrell).  Bodyguard #2 (Hilda) shows up sometime between Wednesday and Thursday before Sami drugs her and meets Bodyguard #3 – Rafe (Galen Gering).  Lordy, I do like it when Days makes their newbies run around nekkid in a towel.  Almost makes the show worth watching.  Almost.
