DAYS Spoilers

Okay, I have absolutely no intel on this, so it is purely soapy speculation on my part, but I can't help but wonder if Chad (Casey Jon Diedrick), who has been spoiled to be the father of Mia's (Taylor Spreitler) baby, will turn out to be one of Justin and Adrienne's (Judi Evans) four sons, now that Wally Kurth is returning to the show? Justin and Adrienne's sons are, Alexander—the biological son of Justin's mistress Anjelica Deveraux Curtis (played first by Jane Elliot who later portrayed Kurth's mom on GH; then Judith Chapman)— adopted twins Victor II and Joseph (named for Justin's Uncle Victor and Adrienne's mother Jo), and Jackson (named for Adrienne's brother Jack Deveraux), the later being the sole child the couple conceived together. Can you imagine if Victor (John Aniston) learns Nicole (Arianne Zucker), the bitter ex-wife he loathes, switched a Kiriakis child, who ended up dying, at birth? !

Justin Kiriakis is heading back to Salem! Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Wally Kurth (ex Ned Ashton, GH; ex Sam, ATWT) will reprise his role on the NBC sudser. As a General Hospital fan, are TPTB making some huge mistakes? With Lynn Herring returning to daytime over at ATWT and now Kurth headed back to Days maybe Jamey's wishful casting wasn't too far off. It seems to me that plenty of GH alums are ready and willing to return to daytime and I'll bet the ranch that GH never called Wally either.

Okay, I am literally shaking as I type this. One of my all time favorite actresses is returning to the role that made her famous, TV Guide Magazine's  Michael Logan is reporting the casting scoop of the year,  Crystal Chappell is returning to Days of Our Lives as Katerina Von Leuschner, aka Doctor Carly Manning! 

This is hot, head-exploding news — it’s shocking and crazy and terrific! Who imagined this would be your next career move!

Not me! I sure didn’t expect this at all but it’s very exciting. I was in L.A. a couple of weeks ago and had some meetings set up to discuss the future. [Days exec producer] Gary Tomlin called and asked if I’d be interested in coming back. We had lunch and, a week or so later, we had a deal. My kids have been asking me for a year, “When are we gonna move back to California?” So they’re very excited. It’s the show where their mommy and daddy met. [Chappell is married to Michael Sabatino, who played Carly’s husband, Lawrence Alamain.]

It’s a sad, sad time on Days of Our Lives. The death of a child is always heart breaking, and this week’s episodes will be no exception. What else is in store? Chelsea returns to Salem briefly before leaving for good, taking Max with her, Victor shakes off the grumpy-old-man persona for an episode or two and invites Brady back into the Kiriakis fold, and the noose starts to tighten even more around Nicole after Grace’s death. All this and more on the Preview from Denial Island (June 8 – 12).

Sami/EJ/Rafe: Daniel tries to prepare Sami for the inevitable. Grace isn’t going to get better. Sami goes into denial, but Roman and Caroline arrive at the hospital to give her moral support. When Grace passes, both Sami and Rafe are with her, and I recommend you have the tissues ready. Afterwards, Sami pushes Rafe away when he tries to comfort her. EJ knocks on her door and Sami tells him the truth about Grace being his child. Fireworks ensue. At the funeral home, EJ and Rafe run into each other and EJ takes the opportunity to let off some steam by punching Rafe. Sami interrupts the punching and EJ starts yelling at her instead. EJ spends a few minutes alone with Grace, and again, keep those tissues handy. Back at the apartment, Sami finally tells Will the truth, who doesn't react well to having been lied to once again. Hey Days fans, lots happening in Salem this week - baby Grace is sick, Philip and Stephanie get rescued and Stefano reveals a bombshell to daughter-in-law Nicole - he knows all about baby swap!  Woah... sounds like it could be an interesting week.  All this and more, this week on the Preview from Denial Island (June 1 - 5).

Sami: Takes baby Grace to hospital after witnessing her having a seizure. The outlook is not good – Dr. Dan diagnoses bacterial meningitis. Sami finds unexpected (but not unwelcome - at least to me) comfort in EJ’s arms, who is at the hospital to smuggle out Stefano. Before he diagnoses Grace, Dan tells Sami that genetic testing may be necessary – good thing both of Grace’s “parents” are present and Sami makes up her mind (again) to tell EJ the truth. This time, it’s Will, Lucas and finally Daniel who interrupt her from her task. Darnit. READ MORE

Hey Days fans, welcome to another week of fun and frivolity in Salem. Apologies for my absence last week; had real life stuff to do, but I read the spoilers and you didn’t miss much. This week Salem invites you to an engagement party. Short notice, but I hope you’ll say yes.  Who for?  Philip and Stephanie!  It’s a bit fast, I know, but mafia-style wars that put you in mortal danger time and time again, make you realize life is short. What else is in store?  Sami freaks when she sees Dr. Baker, Victor and EJ “negotiate” the terms of Stefano’s ransom and Kate has everyone guessing at her change of heart towards Chloe. Hey Days fans, welcome to a week of all out war in Salem! We’re moving into May sweeps territory, and Victor has vowed revenge on Stefano.  Sami and Rafe are heading for more angst and EJ's only been married for 3 days and is already picturing Sami's face whilst in bed with Nicole. The Chelsea/Max exit storyline continues, and new characters get some airtime.  All this and more, this week on the Preview from Denial Island (April 27 – May 1).

Sami/Rafe: After finding Rafe at the airport last week, Sami does her best to convince her ex-bodyguard to stay in Salem. Despite having his one-way ticket out of Salem paid for by the EJami fans, Rafe decides to hear Sami out, and misses his plane. Somewhere along the line the two end up back at Sami’s apartment, and are about to head into the bedroom when EJ interrupts them… The man just couldn’t have better timing!! EJ has come over with the pretense of discussing pre-school options for Johnny, but in seeing Rafe and Sami fixing their clothes, does away with this and confronts Sami over her interruption of his wedding instead. EJ tells her its obvious Rafe is her rebound guy, which Rafe overhears. Rafe confronts Sami; he doesn’t like her explanation and storms off in a huff. Later in the week, Sami finds Rafe catching up on old times with newest Brady Pub barmaid Arianna. How do they know each other other? Sami is determined to find out – next week. READ MORE
