All My Children

Brooke English vs. Annie Chandler on AMC

When I heard that Brooke (Julia Barr) was returning to All My Children her being a rival for Annie (Melissa Claire Egan) wasn't the first thing that jumped to mind, but that appears to be the plan according to the promo, which you can watch after the jump. It should be interesting to see how the current and former Mrs. Chandlers get along!  READ MORE

Past Life, the new Fox drama starring All My Children alum Kelli Giddish premieres Tuesday in the plum slot after American Idol. I can't wait to watch it because I thoroughly enjoyed Giddish's potrayal of Di Henry on AMC and the trailer(s)–which you can watch after the jump–look really good.

Will SOAPnet Pick Up One Tree Hill?

Melrose Place is as good as canned, but could One Tree Hill be headed for SOAPnet if The CW doesn't renew it? According to Spoiler TV it may just happen.

One Tree Hill: There are some messy contracts and negotiations and it could go either way but even if renewed it will likely have budget cuts and maybe lose more cast members and producers. SOAPnet has the option of renewing it if the CW were to cancel it.

Fans can reportedly expect official renewal announcements for Gossip Girl, 90210, Smallville, Supernatural, America's Next Top Model and The Vampire Diaries later this month.

Josh Duhamel "Would Love" to Return to All My Children

Many All My Children fans would love for Josh Duhamel to return to Pine Valley and it turns out he would too. According to Monsters and Critics, when asked about a possible return, in a radio interview with Valentine in the Morning, the When in Rome star responded,

'You know what? I would love to do that, actually. I would.'

He added: 'I had so much fun on those shows for those three years and I still keep in touch with a lot of the people over there. They never officially found Leo's body, so he could legitimately be alive.'

It's About to Get Ugly on The View!

Get ready to rumble! As the midterm senate and congressional elections draw closer expect to see even more heated debates and arguments on The View. After its ratings success during the presidential election The View is looking to replicate the formula in 2010, according to the L.A. Times

In recent days, the five hosts— Walters, Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd—  have jousted over gay marriage, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's derisive remarks to lawmakers and the appropriate venue for the Sept. 11 terrorist trials. New York Gov. David Paterson made his debut to help analyze the State of the Union speech, joining a cadre of political guests this season that have included Rudy Giuliani, Janet Napolitano and Mike Huckabee.

The political focus is going to get even more intense as this year's midterm elections near.

"We're going to run this into the ground for as long as we can," said executive producer Bill Geddie. "We realized we were tapping into something, that this wasn't just for Sunday mornings anymore."

Are you looking forward to more political discussions on The View?

Jennifer Bassey Discusses AMC Exit

Last summer All My Children fans watched as Jennifer Bassey's Marian Colby Chandler suffered a meltdown and was written off the show.  In an interview with Fancast's Sara Bibel Bassey talks about her time at AMC, Marian's exit and Stuart's (David Canary) death.

How did you feel about the way Marian was written off?

They replaced our head writer recently because everything was not the way they thought it should be going. I think it was the writer. Everything seemed to go like bang bang bang. Everybody’s gone.

What do you think of the decision to kill Stuart off?

I thought it was very sad because he’s one of the few characters that everybody loves. He’s kind of like the heart of the show. I could think of other characters it would have been better to kill off than Stuart. But, again, it was the headwriter’s choice. People asked him to please build up Stuart before it happened because Stuart hadn’t been on a lot and neither had I. You don’t get impact if you haven’t seen anybody for a long time and then suddenly they come out and they’re shot. So you’re like, [shrug] “Stuart was shot”, rather then really crying and getting emotional about it.
