Is Meredith Hagner Out at ATWT?

Could soaps be losing yet another of the genre's talented, young actresses? According to TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco, in the latest Suds ReportAs the World Turns' Meredith Hagner may be on her way out.

Word from Brooklyn is that Meredith Hagner may be leaving World Turns because there is a lot of interest in the actress from other mediums. If Hagner leaves, expect Liberty to die of cancer, shares one source. “It’ll be Emmy-worthy,” says an insider. Yes, because the Snyders haven’t had enough Emmy-worthy deaths to deal with.

Scott Reeves Heads To General Hospital

TV Guide Magazine reports that Scott Reeves (Formerly Ryan on Y&R) has been snagged by General Hospital to play the recurring role of Steven Lars Webber. Steven heads to Port Charles in December as the newly appointed chief of staff and will be thrown in the middle of his sister Liz's love life drama. Reeves says,

I’ve always had a great respect for GH so I kinda courted them. It was the one show I most wanted to be on. Steve Burton [who plays mobster Jason Morgan] and I are best friends – we’re literally like brothers – and I just love the people over there. My agent put out feelers and [GH casting director] Mark Teschner called back. They had a role. The timing was perfect.

BREAKING NEWS: Eric Braeden "I Pulled The Plug"

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly's Lynette Rice, Eric Braeden reveals his contract negotiations with Sony have ended.

According to Braeden,

We reached an impasse in the negotiations,” Braeden told EW.com. “I have shown flexibility, they have shown none. It is over. I pulled the plug. That’s it. No more. If I show good will, I expect it to be reciprocated. If there is a rigid attitude on the other side, what is there to to negotiate? That’s a sign of utter disrespect. I will not negotiate with people who remain aloof and arrogant about the whole thing. Not after 30 years, I won’t do that. I’m saying this with a great amount of sadness because I’ve had nothing but respect for my fellow cast members, I have deep respect for the crew who has done an extraordinary job year in and year out, and I have enormous respect for (head writer) Maria Bell.

The Associated Press is reporting Brown has signed a two-year contract with The Bold and the Beautiful, and will be joining the cast as Sandy Sommers, a character who will mix it up with Nick, Bridget and Whip.
