General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
By Perkie on March 19, 2010
Kudos again to the makeup department because at one point, Kristina’s eye actually looked like it was swollen shut and I couldn’t figure out how they would pull that off. The purple color is a bit much though. I’ve never seen a bruise quite that shade of eggplant, but the effect is still there.
Kiefer is one creepy guy. He showed up with a teddy bear, not understanding why she’s not thrilled to see him. He almost acted angry that she has the nerve to still be pissed at him, two days after a beating. Then, he was being all nicey-nice to Alexis, who in soap style, didn’t hear either kid mention that Kiefer is the beater. I’m hoping when Alexis learns the truth, that she teaches that boy a lesson.
Maurice Benard Discusses GH's Teen Abuse Storyline
By Luke Kerr on March 19, 2010
Maurice Benard spoke with Michael Fairman at Michael Fairman Soaps about General Hospital's teen abuse storyline and how Kristina's (Lexi Ainsworth) abuse is reminding Sonny of his childhood.
“This train is rolling really great, and it’s not going to stop. The story that I am really praising is when Kristina gets beat up, (and I have not seen it), but doing it with the actors was unreal. When I saw Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) with the bruises, it was like the feelings I would have with my own daughter. Sonny takes off on this whole thing and then goes on to remember his own abuse and how his step-father would beat him, and put him in the closet, and he how he would beat his mother, too.”
Genral Hospital Spoilers!

Here’s the Scoop!
The abuse storyline will continue parallel to Sonny’s trial. There are a few notes left to play on what has so far been a pretty well written and phenomenally acted story. Maurice Benard, Nancy Lee Grahn and Lexi Ainsworth have all turned in top notch performances this week! I know there are some of you that are having a real problem with Kristina labeling Ethan as her attacker and while I see your point, it’s honestly not all that far off base from what happens in a real life abuse situation. Often, the victim protects their abuser even if it means lashing out at family, friends and yes even making someone else look like they're to blame. Granted, I still see why fans are upset that Ethan is taking the heat but Kristina sort of has a point, doesn’t she? Sonny is sure to bump off whoever is to blame and Ethan, being Luke’s son, stands a better chance than Kiefer. I’m not making excuses, trust me; I’m just saying that I get it. READ MORE

General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
By Perkie on March 18, 2010
Performer of the day was a toss up between Lexi Ainsworth and Nancy Lee Grahn. First off,
Kristina: She really is making me schizophrenic. I get so angry when she continues to talk as though Ethan is the one who did this to her, but then she starts crying with those hard sobs and my heart just goes out to her. Her terrified “Dad, please don’t kill Ethan” was really the only time that I thought she might be feeling some remorse or conscience. It’s hard to decide if she’s a spoiled brat who wants her way or a lost child who didn’t expect her actions to have the consequences that they did.

DC #528: Brett Claywell Interview
By Daytime Confidential on March 17, 2010
In his first podcast interview since being kished to the curb. One Life to Live's Brett Claywell talks with Daytime Confidential.com's Luke Kerr, Jamey Giddens and Jillian Bowe on the heels of his shocking firing. The talented and passionate young actor, who moved across country to assume the role of Schuyler Joplin, only to cede that role to Scott Clifton, before being cast as nefarious lab tech-turned-gay med student Kyle Lewis, talks about what it was like to find out from OLTL show runner Frank Valentini that he was being let go from the series.
Hear Claywell in his own words as he shares his thoughts on the powerful work he and leading man Scott Evans (Oliver Fish) accomplished, and why he doesn't want to let any of the negativity surrounding their exits take away from a story he says will stay with him for the rest of his life. Claywell also addresses the myriad of allegations lobbied against him and Evans in the media. Does he feel they are to blame for OLTL's viewer erosion? What about their rumored misbehavior on set? Claywell addresses it all. He also talks about if we will ever see him reunite with Evans in a movie or web series, ala Guiding Light's Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia, who now star opposite each other in Venice. This is the podcast interview every Kish fan has been dying to download.

General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
By Perkie on March 17, 2010
This show drives me crazy sometimes. They are hanging their hats on the DNA evidence of whether or not Ethan did something to Kristina, when Ethan has already admitted that Kristina scratched him when he found her. Therefore the DNA will show that it was his, which he’s admitted to already. What? Did they dust Alexis’ living room for his fingerprints? Did they check his knuckles to see if they were bloody? Did they check his clothes to see if any of her blood was on them? Did they check with patrons from the Star to verify Ethan’s alibi?
