Tom Casiello Weighs In On Days

Former Days of Our Lives scribe Tom Casiello is weighing in on Nelson Branco's report at TV Guide Canada and apologizing to the fans. We've posted an excerpt below but you are definitely going to want to read this.

"On behalf of everyone involved, whether they want me to or not, I'm sorry. For wasting everyone's time. For dragging you along in these bizarre power plays, while all you tried to do was love your show again. Because somebody sure as hell owes you that apology.

I'm embarrassed for all of us. I know this is a business. But this isn't what it's supposed to be about. It's supposed to be about creating art… creating life, and creating love. And sharing that with people who enjoy it and are entertained by it..."

I like Tom C, but I think he

I like Tom C, but I think he should have stayed out of this one. He has continually made himself part of the story. I want him to get another job in daytime, and I don't think this helped things.

I'm glad he commented...how could he not? Being in that world and watching it from that perspective...I appreciate that he cares enough to keep blogging.

It's refreshing for me to see someone who cares about the genre rather than coming from total ego.

Tom should have been HW. This guy seems to geniuely love Soaps and cares about the fans.

I love this BLOG...it was

I love this BLOG...it was better writing than I've seen on any soap in the past year.It was honest, heartfelt, and the antithesis of this current genre known as soaps. He doesn't just touch on loving the fans- he touches on creativity, spirit, art..For the past year I've been looking at this industry as people with power who don't care, and he has definitely written a virtuous blog that gives me some ounce of that. Some people do care and some of those people are listening and not just feeding their own egos.
